Well Hello All,


Yes I know………..

It has been a very very long time in-between drinks……. Ooops I meant blog posts! lol :lol:

How has everyone been?

Awesome I hope…………… :D

I can’t believe it is 2012 already. :shock:

Where did 2011 go!!!

Actually to be completely honest with you, I am kinda glad that the year is over.

It was a tough year personally for me and I came very close to giving up on everything all together.

However being the determined little turtle I am, giving up is not an option.

Instead I have just taken a step back (actually more like 10 steps! lol) over the last few months and re-evaluated everything.

Plus my little one has been pretty much home with me full-time since August (her part time day carer had a baby! :D ) so my time online has been limited.

I mean REALLY limited!

There have been some weeks over the last 5 months where I was lucky to get online at all! :shock:

I will be straight up here…….

If you are a mummy with toddlers and husband (Yes! Hubbys take up time too!) it can sometimes be near impossible to get online and get study done!

By the time everyone is asleep I want to sleep myself!! :(

Yes there have been days when I have tried to get online when they are home and truthfully it does not work!!

My little one just does not understand the concept of “Mummy has to do some study” and looks at me every 5 minutes wanting to play or show me something or go somewhere!

(lol hubby has been similar! :lol: )

I soon realised that I wasn’t going to get anything major done until this year starting in February when my little one goes to kndergarten/pre-school.

So instead of stressing about it I decided to come up with a 12-18 month business/study plan knowing my limitations. I did this back in September after I watched an awesome workshop.

(I will talk more about this workshop in another post in time, it is well worth watching if you have the time. :D )

For the last couple of months I have been quietly working on some of the foundations for my plan.

One task and one day at a time!

2012 is going to be a year of growth, of new beginnings and of change for me………

I am finally up to date with collating all the products I have on my hard drive (yes there were thousands) all into their niches, years and licenses.

This took me hours and hours and hours. :?

So very soon I will be putting together some fantastic private and master resell rights packages together for offer.

I will be completely revamping my subscriber membership with lots of regular giveaways, plus I will be creating a very special exclusive membership site for you with lots and lots of free training I have sourced for you.

To those of you on my lists, I just want to say thank you for being loyal and patient with me, you will be receiving notice of the changes soon plus the regular freebies will be beginning very soon too! :D

I plan on focusing a lot of my efforts on getting to know my subscribers more as well as building my lists more. (This is my main focus for 2012)

And then by the end of the year I plan to get really stuck into my own product creation ready to launch some offline training in 2013. (This is the carrot goal! lol)

I will be continuing to write here on my blog, however to be completely fair to myself and to you, I only expect to write once to twice a month.

I have a lot to get done and only very limited time to do it in.

Plus this year is the last year my little one is home with me before she heads off to the big wide world of school.

I do plan on reviewing a few products I have bought so I will let you know about those in time, plus I will let you know who I am learning from and why.

This year is all about executing my plan as best as I can, plus being a mummy & wife too!!

So there you have it!

My plans for 2012…….

    Tis a bit hard at the moment trying to get online regularly. Both hubby and bubba are home so the only time I can get online is when they are sleeping.

    Bubba is starting kinder pre school in the next few weeks, I will get more time then.

    Yes on the long term plan! I mapped it out in a notebook, pages and pages of it detailing all the steps I need to take and at each stage.

    Since doing that, it has made what little time I get on the computer a lot more productive. To be honest my plan is actually a 2 year one roughly.

    I have allowed for life to get in the way as well. :lol:

    I know what you mean about finding it hard with a family to look after, there’s never enough time in the day is there (lol)

    Good on you for sticking at it and not giving up, just shows how determined you are and you’ll get there, I’m sure of that!

    Looks like you’ve got it all planned out and I’m really looking forward to this new membership training site of yours…

    As I’ve said before Jacinta you are a natural teacher and this is the sort of thing I think you’ll excell at!

    So good luck with it misses and I’m sure this is the year that Jacinta Dean shines.

    I completely agree on never being enough time. I don’t know how you do it with 2 kids and a hubby. I only have 1 child and I have enough trouble! :lol:

    Yes on sticking at things, although I feel like I have gone back into turtle mode. One slow step at a time! :lol:

    The membership training site is just going to be a freebie to get me started. In doing all my collating I have found some really cool video training stuff that I can giveaway. So thought it might be good to create a site for it. However this project is more for half way through this year.

    And re the teaching. I do miss teaching. I actually miss class teaching in person. My plan is that once my little one is established at school by 2013-2014 I want to teach offline during her school hours locally.

    So the plan is to create some online training during 2013 that I can then take offline 2014.

    2012 is all about building relationships with my subscribers, email marketing and list building, plus putting together automated packages with resell rights products.

    I did say it was a long term plan and one that also allows a little leeway for life! lol ;)

    Thank you for being a constant support. I do really appreciate the gentle pushes you give. :)

    I have a huge plan for 2012, actually for the next 2 years really.

    It is weird, once you know what you want to do, you then know the direction you need to take and the steps you need to do.

    The plan has fallen into place, now for the action part.

    Happy New Year to you Jacinta.

    Good on you for doing what’s best for you and not stressing yourself out. Even though you’ve been away from your blog, you’ve still been there, planning behind the scenes. And, what a great year you have planned. :-)

    My children are teenagers now, so they do tend to leave me along (parents are embarrassing, interfering, noisy creatures!), but yes they are demanding of your time and have no concept of 5 or 10 mins to them that is just the looongest time!

    Sorry on the delay in reply. My little one is finally having a day in daycare so I can catch up on a few tasks! :lol:

    I was stressed when I first realised that I wouldn’t be online as much. I went through all the emotions of will I miss out, will I miss the boat, will I loose subscribers etc etc etc,

    However then I realised I was not in control of the situation as such and new I just needed to make the best out of it.

    Making the plan was the best thing I did. I now know what I am doing every time I get online, I write lists the night before of the exact tasks I need to get done. I don’t get sidetracked as easily anymore and since taking this approach I have found I am so much more productive. :P

    My little one is only 4 so I have a few years yet before she is a teenager. She is only starting preschool this year.

    I know how hard it is to do this when you are a mom and wife. I home school my kids so they are always home and I really struggle to keep a schedule so that I can get everything done.

    There are days when I do not even see a computer though depending on what is going on.

    Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us in 2012.

    WOW! home schooling! That would be tough yet rewarding at the same time!

    Can relate to the days of not seeing the computer! :lol:

    I guess the thing we need to remember is that even if we only get 10 minutes done a day, even if that ten minutes is just writing notes etc, we are at least doing something. That is what has kept me going.

    During the time I have away from the computer and with my family I do try and at least spend 10 minutes a day going over my notes, even if I just re read a few tasks I need to do.

    It helps to keep the candle burning so to speak! :lol:

    Goals are good to have. I always write my goals down, plus I have a pinboard where I have them written on cards on my office wall so I see them every day as well. It helps keep me focused.

    I honestly say I know what you mean about how hard it is with kids (wife/not husband) around, we have been having a few problems with our kids school and tried home schooling for a while so never really got the chance to get online much at all and when I did I was just to tired to focus.

    Onwards and upwards though eh.

    The plan is the only way to go! It gives you direction, it keeps you focused and keeps you accountable to what you want to achieve.

    It’s good to hear that with your busy family life you still find time to get something done. I am a husband with three children, one of which is a newborn, and I feel the same way quite often. It is difficult to get anything done when my 18 month is climbing on me, my newborn is screaming, and my 6 yr old is asking me questions and trying to get me to play with him… all while I am trying to let my wife get some sleep because she was up at night with the baby.

    I obviously can’t stay up at night to get things done since I have to let my wife get some sleep during the day…

    Anyway, I know how you feel. But, we manage to make it work somehow, right? lol

    OMG your life is busier than mine. I only have 1, you have 3!

    And yes we do manage. We make the lost of what we can do at the time. I think the trick is to celebrate what we do achieve with what time we have.

    This industry isn’t going anywhere. It is the new era of business that is going to be around for a very long time.

    To understand that we are building foundations and not looking for the quick over night fix helps me get through the bad days when I get nothing done at all and wonder why I even turned the computer on! hahahahahaha (Had one of those days on Monday!;) )

    this is so weird, I have just written my first blog post after being silent since April last year (!!!!!), and afterwards, for some reason, your name popped into my head and I thought: “I am going to check out how Jacinta is doing!” So I landed back on your blog and oh my! You have been having the same problems as I!

    I can so relate to what you have been going through (I even had to re-tweet your post :) ), even though my 2 kids are well and truly in the school system (one is in year 3, the other in year 5), there is still so much to do for them and around them its really hard to get the time in to blog.

    One of my big resolutions for re-starting my blogging is also to declutter and organize the files, bookmarks, downloads, ebooks and programs I bought on my computer, just like you (envy, you have finished!!), because just knowing how much data there is to be looked at can freeze you into inaction.

    I take my hat off to you for taking this action and having a great business plan and aspirations for your online/offline future! You are right, once you have a plan and know where you are heading, you become clearer in your mind and more focused, which means you will achieve a lot more of what you aim for.

    Well, it looks like 2012 and beyond is going to be the start for a great future for internet marketing mums! ;-)

    Hi Petra,

    Good to hear from you again. I had wondered what you had been up to. I will have to pop over and have a read! :D

    Yes. 2011 was a difficult year. To be honest I think I have been going around in circles for a long time with this internet marketing maze! hahahahaha lol :lol:

    When I had bubba full time with me since August I was really annoyed. I felt frustrated I couldn’t get online and blog etc etc. With bub at home the only stuff I could do online or on the computer was mundane tasks.

    Whenever I tried to do anything complicated I would get interrupted, forget what I was doing and start all over again. lol

    In hindsight this ended up being a good thing. I watched a really great workshop in @September 14 hours of seminar and it literally put the pieces of the puzzle together.

    I sat down, wrote out my plan over a couple of weeks and then started to implement.

    Going through all the stuff on my computer was awesome. I still have to collate the last couple of months worth of downloads. But it is really good looking at everything in it’s niches and licenses now. I have found some really cool stuff as well.

    Lately I have been working on creating all my templates that I am using initially to get things going and then on to creating the content for my subscribers.

    This year is all about list building and email marketing for me.

    I do plan on blogging, but to be honest only once a month. With limited time I really need to allocate time wisely.

    Blogging is important, however so is relationship building with my list as well.

    Wow, Jacinta, you sound like you have got it all together now! Congrats on your “focused mind”! ;-) I would love to know what kind of seminar you attended in September, sounds like a winner to me!
