World Internet Summit Seminars

Hello All,

This is a very quick post to let you know about the up coming “World Internet Summit Seminar”. The next seminar is being held in Perth Australia from Thursday the 25th to Sunday the 28th of February 2010. That is less than 2 weeks away!

Due to my little one I will not be attending this year, however if you live in Perth or are able to get there I highly highly recommend attending this seminar. This is the seminar that I sent my father to back in 2007 when my daughter was 6 weeks old. This is the seminar that really sparked my interest in creating a business online.

My father came home from that event with pages and pages of notes and downloads and was absolutely mind boggled at the potential of business on the internet. I went through those notes and my internet business journey started.

Last year in March 2009 I was fortunate enough to go as my mother only lived a couple of kilometres from the event and was able to babysit my little one. My father went with me again. The seminar was awesome. I loved ever minute of it. It was a combination of attending the seminar and studying John’s course that has helped me to get where I am today.

Introducing Internet Marketer Alex Sysoef – WordPress Blogging Expert!

Hello All,

This is a very quick post to introduce you to another Internet Marketer I have been following called Alex Sysoef.

Alex is an expert on WordPress and his blog has information on anything and everything to do with wordpress and the world of blogging.

Lately I have been really interested in my blogs security. I have been noticing I am starting to get spammed a bit now that my ranking has improved and more traffic is visiting. Don’t get me wrong I love the visitors and love getting the comments, but not from people leaving keywords in the name field (such as ‘seo expert’ etc) and making silly simple one lines of “Good Post” and think I will actually give them some link love and print their comment!

The other thing I have been noticing in my travels is pop ups connecting to some sites linking to ‘xxx’ and gambling sites. I have my browser set to notify me of banned pop ups. I know that most of us don’t have pop ups associated with our sites so I found this interesting and tried to research more!

Stephen Pierce – 21 Basic Laws Of Internet Business Success!

Hello All,

I just thought I would write a very quick post and share a blog post I found in my blogging travels.

I have been following and watching many so called internet marketing guru’s, some are excellent and share a wealth of knowledge all year around and others only share when they are promoting their next big launch.

One internet marketer I do like is Stephen Pierce. I have been on his mailing list for about a year now and I have also read his book “Make Real Money On The Internet”. It has only been recently that I have started to visit his blog (you can check out Stephen Pierce’s blog by clicking here. Stephen Pierce) and today I found a really cool post I wanted to share and give you food for thought! :D

The post I am referring to is 21 Laws Of Business Success. (You can read Stephen’s full blog post by clicking here. 21 Laws.)

Stephen believes in order for us to be successful online we need to have some form of business code or laws we abide by. Such as our ethics, morals, integrity towards our clients and operating business.

Internet Marketing Seminar Overload!

Hello All,

A very quick post to let you know I am information overloaded, over whelmed and excited all at the same time!

I just spent the last 3 days at a really awesome seminar on internet marketing called Dream Life presented by the guys that run the World Internet Summit Seminars. I saw 11 amazing speakers including Brett McFall, Tom Hua, Sean Roach, Raymond Aaron, Ewan Chia, James Schramko, Adam Ginsberg, Alok Jain, Steven Essa, Christopher Guerriero, Dr Mike Woo-Ming and Brian Kozobucki.

All speakers were excellent, all sharing their knowledge and teaching us everything about setting up a business online and the power of an internet business. :)

Yes! Each speaker did have a coaching program to sell at the end of their training, however No, I did not buy one. Right now in my life I do not have the time to dedicate to one of these programs due to family and life commitments, truthfully I wish I did :( as it would definitely speed up the process of learning what I need to learn.

Master Class Week One!

Hello Fellow Newbie Internet Business People,

OK. So it is now time for you to learn as I do!!! I have just completed watching my videos from my week one training from John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass and am about to share with you what I have learned and what I have done.

Inside our coaching area, John has made it so easy to maneuver around. Each document is in order and he has explained how we need to read our handout and checklist first and then watch the videos in order and try to do the exercises in order. It is all very step by step and basic in explanation. The first video we were sent talked about buying a domain name.

Question what is a domain name? It is that little address you type in to your browser when you want to go to a website address. It is the name of the website address, like naming business. One of the first things we were advised to do was to register our own name sake. The reason being is that if we have any success online with our business people will start to recognise you.

The Birth Of My Baby & The Birth Of My Little Ebook…

Continuing on with my story…… :)

I am starting to think I am writing a biography!! Actually with the detailed story of my life I definitely think that would be an interesting one, however that is another time and another definitely another place! ;)

The week of the birth of my child was also the week I sold my first little ebook on eBay. The last few weeks of my pregnancy I researched about ebooks and discovered that selling a book as a PDF version was the best way to sell the file. A PDF is able to be read on both Macintosh and PC format. As I already had my manual on a word document format turning it into a PDF was easy once I had the software.

During the first few months of my little ones new life all I sold on eBay was my manual as an ebook. I averaged between 5-10 sales per weeks at $15 each so it wasn’t a great income but it was a start. But the hours that went into earning that $15 each was about 5 minutes! I had already spent the hours creating the manual all I had to do was answer emails and send emails. This was perfect. I was still able to earn a little income and knew that I could concentrate on being a mum!
