Computer Hacking Virus Update!

Hello All,

I am back online!. I finally got my computer back from a week at the computer shop! Thank you to Damien and Scott at Up2date Technology for helping me out. Excellent service and brilliant customer support. I really like the fact that they have spent the time explaining things to me, helping me as well as educating me to improve my system.

In conclusion, as far as we know my computer was riddled with virus. Everything has been removed and I should be back to normal, and as far as we can conclude the pop ups were from my browsers being compromised. In saying that I am still going to strip back my website to bare shell over the next few days and re install just to be sure. :|

I would like to thank everyone for commenting and letting me know if you had seen any pop ups. Having this experience has taught me a lot about the positives of the internet plus the negatives. I really like those people trying to convince me to gamble NOT! :evil:

Now I can get back to normal and continue with my online development and education.

Hope everyone is going well. I will post very soon, just got to wait until little one goes to bed and I have more time other than the quick 5 mins I have stolen now while she is watching “Wiggles”.

  1. Glad you’re back online Jacinta. You’ve had some bad luck with your back-up problems, and now virus’s, but you always seem to get through and solve whatever hurdles you come across. Looking forward now to your regular blog posts. Keep up the good work.

    Yes on the dramas, but a good thing to learn at this stage of the game! I think it is easy to solve these hurdles now and prepare for the future as the business develops. My next adventure is to set up a back up system, so if one system is down I have a back up working. I think I might buy a laptop since they have come down in price.

    Things are a little hectic at the moment. :( Little one has given up her afternoon sleeps so now I can only work when she is a playgroup or asleep at night! :| Will certainly have to time manage more now! :)
