Ebays Policies Changed What do I do Now?
Hello All,
I am nearly up to now with my story. So to continue on…..
By March 2008 I had read quite a few ebooks and newsletters on internet marketing and was slowly starting to understand the basics about selling digital items on the internet, however I still didn’t understand a lot of it, like to exact how to step by step. I guess I was getting information overload and had no idea where to begin or how to begin!
At the same time eBay decided to change its policies about selling digital downloads so I could no longer sell my little spray tan manual on line. I freaked at the time as I was selling quite a few a week, however having moved house and my daughter had been diagnosed with a condition that possibly needed surgery I didn’t worry too much about it all and let the business go.
When eBay changed their policies we were given a months notice so during that time I bought everything I could get my hands on, on eBay re ebooks, websites and selling online. Now I have folders and folders on my hard drive of books I haven’t even read. I bought re sell packages etc. Some stuff I have no idea what I bought as long as it was to do with ebooks and online marketing I bought it.
One of the ebooks I read was “The Ninety Day PowerSeller” by John Thornhill of eBay plantesms fame. This little ebook was fantastic so I signed up to his newsletter and then in May I bought into the ebook website program. I didn’t do anything about that website until a month ago. I will explain that another time.
My ebook website is www.ebooksfromoz.com.
I also bought a physical book called “How to Make Money While You Sleep” by Brett McFall. Brett is one of the organisers of the World Internet Summit and I had signed up to his free newsletter. This book was excellent also. I will talk more about the books I have read in detail in future posts. And I also found out about Ed Dale and the Thirty Day Challenge.
During June I went to a Seminar that Brett McFall held based on his book. When you buy his book he gives you a ticket to his seminar included. The seminar was fantastic and I found that it was collating everything I had been readying over the last 12 months.
I was finally starting to really understand what I was learning, registering domain names, hosting, selling ebooks, creating your own products being an affiliate etc. But the problem was How do I begin? Where do I start?
In July last year I signed up for the Thirty Day Challenge and for John Thornhill’s private coaching program. I knew I needed to treat this whole thing like being back at school and doing assignments. It was the only way I was going to kick myself in the butt and really get started!!! And I hate Homework!!!!!
The only problem with this whole picture that juggling sick husband, child and hours and hours of learning I got information overload and fell completely behind in both programs. So in late August I changed tactics and at the beginning of October I decided to concentrate on John Thornhill’s Coaching program first.
Now you are nearly up to date and my little typing fingers need a rest so until next time…
