Considering it is now the second week of March I thought I had better get my Monthly Tasks post out to you to let you know what I have been up to in learning how to create my business online adventure.

Some of you may have read my last post where I mentioned I had a social life and went to an ACDC concert. Just thought I would mention it again, not because I enjoyed the concert, (I had a blast and felt like a teenager again! ) but to remind myself and you about the importance of “work, life balance”.

I have been concentrating so much when ever I have had a spare moment on learning how to set up this internet business that I forgot to have a social life. Having the social life last week reminded me to have fun and enjoy life in the moment as well as to work more towards my future to give me the freedom to have more of a social life.

It has given me an energy burst that was well needed. And I have decided as a way to reward myself for my efforts, that once a month I need to do something fun, social and for me! Time to have some fun and learn too!

The last month has been a very busy month and I have been completely focused on the tasks I have wanted to achieve. At the beginning of each week I wrote a list of tasks I wanted to achieve. What ever I didn’t achieve for the week I moved over to the list for the following week and added a couple more tasks to do. The one thing I do not do is beat myself up or get disappointed if I don’t complete everything.

Sometimes life can get in the way and we can only achieve so much and I do believe it is important to celebrate what we have achieved instead of thinking about what we haven’t done. The reason why I am mentioning this is because I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine about achieving goals and tasks.

When we were talking on the phone she was telling me everything she wanted to do and how quickly she wants to achieve each task. (She is learning about online business too!) While I listened I could feel in her tone of voice that she was getting frustrated with herself and felt like she wasn’t achieving anything at all.

I told her to slow down, write down the big goals and then break them down into bite sized chunks. I then told her to set up a notebook writing down all the tasks she has done each day, such as research, tasks, emails, conversations she has had about her ideas, her thoughts, websites she has visited, articles she has read etc etc.

The reason I suggested this is because I used to think that way about what I was doing. It wasn’t until I started writing my daily tasks down and the lists of tasks I wanted to achieve did I realise I actually get a massive amount done in such a short amount of time. I wanted my friend to realise the same.

What people don’t understand is that this industry does not happen over night. It takes time, determination, perseverance and lots and lots of little tasks!!!!

Speaking of tasks without further comment here is the list to my daily tasks for February 2010.

February’s Daily Tasks:

I completed the following:

1. My usual downloads from the membership programs I have joined. PLR Monthly, Resell Rights Fortune and 30 Day Challenge Plus. (I am starting to have a few ideas on what I am going to do with all the PLR and MRR I have.)
2. My usual daily emails. (I still need to cull myself from a few more lists. The more internet savvy I am becoming the more I realise I do not need to be on every one’s list!)
3. My usual daily Twitter activity. (I have over 1,000 followers now! I know that does not sound like a lot and on average I am only writing a tweet every 2nd to 3rd day, however these followers have just grown over time. I do want to look at twitter more as a marketing tool but at the moment I have other projects I need to focus on and complete. 4. I spent quite a bit of time on Facebook both professionally and personally. (I have found quite a few other marketers online on facebook and some really cool fan pages and groups to join. It really is an amazing network. If you want to befriend me click on my facebook link on the top right under my twitter link. )
5. Continued writing up my PLR database. (I need to get this finished and up to date asap. I have promised the people that signed up through my link with JT’s Masterclass that I would give them access to the PLR products I have. Better make this task a focus one! )
6. Continued writing up the questions and answers from my membership with Easily Answered. (I need to get a move on with this task too. I have written up 80 now and have another 700 to go! As soon as I have written everything up I want to cancel this membership.)
7. Visited MyBloglog daily and joined communities. (You are allowed to join 15 communities a day. I have noticed over the last month my traffic increasing from visiting Mybloglog and joining various communities. My time on the site only takes around 15 minutes now that I know what I am doing. My traffic has nearly doubled since doing this regularly, plus I have noticed I have new loyal readers! If you want to join Mybloglog or my community I have a link at the bottom of my right side bar. )
8. Visited fellow marketers blogs. (I still believe it is important to visit other people’s websites and comment where appropriate, not just from the traffic generation and ranking point of view but also to keep the community spirit alive. I have made some really cool friends since becoming more active in the blogging community and what’s more I have noticed we are all helping each other out where we can. )
9. I changed my spray tanning website a little. (I turned my affiliate page into a squeeze page for potential affiliates to sign up with before they get access to my affiliate tools. I did this to avoid spammers illegally using my content. Someone spammed me with my own stuff. I will write about this more another time. It is a blog post in itself! My new affiliates sign up page looks like this www.spraytanningsuccess.com/Affiliates)
10. I signed up with Wizard Responder. (Now that I am focusing on list building I am also focusing on how much things are costing. Although Aweber is great and I have never had a problem with them, they are also quite expensive once your list starts getting big. Wizard Responder have all the features of Aweber at half the cost. Over the next month I will be slowly moving all my little lists over ready to become big lists! )
11. I created a newsletter sign up for my ebay hosting site. (I am about to start selling on ebay and thought I will try and list build at the same time by offering incentives to sign up for my newsletter. At the moment I am offering John Thornhill’s 90 Day Powerseller Challenge as my freebie. I am hoping to add more at a later stage. I have used Wizard Responder for this list. 12. I re-branded and uploaded a copy of John Thornhill’s 90 day Powerseller challenge to my Jad’s Deals website ready for my new newsletter sign ups. (This took me ages to do. The uploading took nearly a day. I had to do it twice! Here is a link to the page. www.jadsdeals.com/powersellerchallenge.html)
13. I added all my legals to my Jad’s Deals website. (I use the Legal Forms Generator software by Mike Young. There is a link to his website on my legals page here if you want to check it out. It is great software and really easy to use. I haven’t signed up as an affiliate yet. I still need to do that! )
14. I had some new website graphics made by Planet Divinity. (I got some banners made www.jadsbookshop.com, www.jadsbeautyspot.com and www.jadsdeals.com. As always Steve is excellent at delivering awesome graphics. You can see some of the banners on www.jadsdeals.com. )
15. I created an up-sell to use for my bonus CD that I will be sending out to people when ever they buy from me on ebay. (I am going to include a CD when ever some one buys from me on ebay as a way of list building. I am sure that most people may not even look at the CD or join my mailing list or even buy the up-sell, however even if 1 out of 50 does it is still worth trying. The CD concept is from John Thornhill’s 90 Day Powerseller Challenge. When I bought into the program that is offered through the challenge “Your Own Ebook Website”, John gave us access to a product of his that we could use as an up-sell as well as the CD layout. I have had some new graphics made for the CD design. The up-sell I am using is here www.jadsdeals.com/info_bonanza.html)
16. I made my first sample CD for giveaway. (I haven’t used my printer before to print CD’s so it was a fun learning experience. I like learning a new thing every day! )
17. I finally learned how to create a payment button to paypal for my up-sell. (I had no idea how to do this one, so I went hunting for help in John’s Online Training Forum. I found a fellow student in there David DeWitt. He has created a book called “The PDF Paypal Button Guide”. I read the book and it was awesome. Very easy to understand and I followed the instructions step by step and it worked perfectly. If you have no idea how to create paypal buttons then you should read David’s eBook. )
18. I finished creating my ebay sales template. (I am using the template design from my Jad’s Deals website to sell products on ebay. I needed to add in my policies and procedures ready for creating my auctions and sales pages.)
19. And finally, I wrote 5 blog posts over the course of the month. (JT Training Promotion, January’s Daily Tasks, JT Training Week 22, World Internet Summit Promotion, and JT Training Week 23. )
    

OK so that is my list for the last month. As you can see I was a busy girl. My focus over February was to complete my ebay website. I really wanted to get my up-sell and bonus and newsletter prepared and ready for selling. I have 2 sheds worth of stuff I am going to try and get rid of and as people say “Someone Else’s Trash Is Someone Else’s Treasure”, plus I have a credit card I need to pay off!!

Over the next couple of months I am going to focus mainly on selling on ebay and re-establishing myself on there. I also want to look at other alternative sites like eBay to sell products on. I am actually going to try and do the “90 Day Powerseller Challenge” to see if it still is possible to sell digital products on auction sites and not just on eBay. I will keep you posted on that one. It has been nearly another week since my last post. I have been extremely busy this last week and actually had a life outside of being a mummy learning how to create a business online!

On a personal side I was fortunate enough to get tickets to see the Australian band ‘ACDC’ in concert and let me tell you I had an absolute blast!! I felt like a teenager again, jumping up and down screaming and singing and rocking! It was awesome and it reminded me of how we do need to enjoy ourselves at times and get out from under the computer and out of the house!

The concert was awesome and what’s more is that these guys are in their 60’s and they had more energy than me!!

However now that I am back to reality and back to being a mummy, I had better welcome you to Week 24 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

So with out further comment lets begin with this Week 24’s tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 24:

Create Affiliates Page

This week was all about creating our affiliates page. According to John a lot of people make the mistake of not supplying their affiliates with a wide variety of tools for them to promote our products with.

Most affiliates like products that have tools supplied for them that they can then use to promote the product with such as images, banners, body copy, example articles, emails, blog posts, signatures et etc. Including these items for our affiliates makes it easier for them to promote our products effectively.

This week we were sent 6 videos to download and watch as well as our usual list of tasks to do. John also sent us an affiliate web-page template that we could use to help us create our affiliate page with.

Video 1: Register For 2nd Account On Clickbank

John taught us back in Week 3 to register a ‘Clickbank‘ account for promoting affiliates products. This time around John recommends that we create a second account. It is recommended that we keep our affiliate and our sales accounts separate so we are able to track our statistics better and not get confused.

At this stage I have an affiliate account with ‘Clickbank’, however my product “Spray Tanning Success“ is listed with ‘PayDotCom‘.  I will explain the reason I chose to use ‘PayDotCom’ over ‘Clickbank’ at a later stage.

Video 2: Edit Affiliate Page Template

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this weeks write up, having an effective affiliates page is giving your affiliates a variety of tools to be able to promote your product with.

To help us in delivering our affiliate page, John gave us access to a template we can adapt our affiliate tools to.

In this video John shows us where to access the template and how to set it up ready to be edited.

Video 3: Add Affiliate Material

In this video John shows us how to add our affiliate material to our affiliate template. There are ‘email titles’, ‘email copy’, ‘product reviews’, ‘blog posts’, ‘forum signatures’, ‘email signatures’ and areas to place our product graphics with their URL address’s.

We are also shown an example of one of John’s affiliate pages for his product ‘Resale Rights Roadmap’.

We are shown:

1. How to set up the affiliate page template
2. How to edit the template
3. How to add in our affiliate information
4. And how to save any changes

John recommends to imagine that we are promoting our own product and what we would like to use. The other thing that John recommends is to try and write most of the material we want to use in ‘notepad’ so it is easy to copy and paste over. That way if we want to make any edits we can proof read everything before actually inserting the information into the template.

Video 4: Add Affiliate List To Aweber

In this video John encourages us to create a new Aweber list for our affiliates. This is so that when someone signs up to the affiliate list you can also send them affiliate tips and tricks as well as other possible affiliate offers with launching new products.

Placing an Optin form on an affiliates page is something a lot of people do not do.

We are shown:

1. How to create a new list in Aweber (We should know this by now! )
2. And how to edit our confirmed Optin email and follow up email for our new list

Video 5: Add Aweber Code To Affiliates Page

In this video John shows us again how to create a webform for our affiliate list and copy the code into our affiliate page template, like we did when we added in the sign up code when we were creating our sales page.

We are shown:

1. How to view the template in code view
2. How to copy the Aweber affiliate list code into place
3. And how to save the details and fix any problems if they arise using ‘notepad’ or ‘text document’

Video 6: Add Affiliates Page To Main Template

In this video John shows us how to add our affiliates page template into our main product website template.

We are shown:

1. How to open our affiliate page folder we created weeks ago and open the index page
2. How to delete the default images in the page until all that is left is “Your Title Here”
3. Next how to open our affiliate page template that has our affiliate material in it.
4. And how to copy everything on the template and then paste the code into place.

If there is a problem copy and pasting into our website builder (I am using Kompozer ) John recommends we copy and paste everything using either ‘notepad’ or ‘text document’ and then re open our templates in our website builder editor.

Summary

When I created my affiliate page I did use the template that John provided for us and found it very easy to use, the hardest part was actually writing all the affiliate material. The fact that John also showed us one of his affiliate pages was also a really good help.

However the one thing I do suggest if you are going to create an affiliate page is to actually create a squeeze page for your potential affiliates to sign up first before they are directed to the page with your affiliate tools. The reason for this is to avoid spammers using your email copy or any of your copy to potentially spam people!

When I created my affiliates page I did not think that some one would actually use my stuff to spam people until I received an email from “Terry” from ’spraytanningsuccess@yahoo.com’ with my email copy. I do not have a clue who Terry is and nor was I signed up to his list! Silly me clicked on the dead link within the email thinking it was going to go to my sales page and instead I was sent to a website that had harvested all of my email address’s from my email editor ‘outlook’ from ’spyware’ from the website that I visited and I have been spammed relentlessly ever since!!!

I highly highly recommend that you make a squeeze page that potential affiliates must sign up first before they can get to access to your affiliate tools. Week 24’s Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for week 24 were:

1. Register for a second Clickbank account specifically for our product
2. Access the example affiliate template that John provided us
3. Edit the template and add in our own affiliate material
4. Create a affiliate list with Aweber
5. Add the affiliate Aweber code into our template
6. Transfer our affiliate template to our main website template
7. Visit the masterclass forum and communicate with fellow students
8. Continue visiting fellow student and marketers blogs and make comments where appropriate
9. Continue posting to our own blogs

Welcome to Week 23 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

Life has been a little hectic this week, so there has been a bit of a delay in getting this post out to you, but I guess that is the joys of creating a business online from home around a toddler. Some weeks I get a lot of time and other weeks I have a million and one appointments I need to keep.

So with out any further rambling lets begin with this week 23’s tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 23:
Add Mini Email Course To Sales Page

This week was all about adding in our completed email mini course to our autoresponder and our websites, ready to start list building with in our niche. Like I have mentioned in Week 22’s post, having an email course available is another way we can potentially sell our product to our prospects.

Some people may visit our sales website and be interested in our product but not necessarily ready to buy. Offering the email course as a freebie is a way a shy prospect can get a taste of what you are writing about and then they may buy.

This week we were sent our welcome letter for the week, our checklist and we had 8 videos to download and watch to learn what tasks we needed to do for the week.

Video 1: Create A List For Our Sales Page

In this video John shows us how to create a new list in our Aweber accounts to integrate our email course into our sales page.

We are shown:

1. How to log in to our Aweber accounts
2. How to create a new list name
3. And how to save our new settings

Video 2: Get List Html Code

In this video we are shown how to get the html code for our autoresponder list.

We are shown:

1. How to create a new webform
2. How to save the webform
3. How to access the raw html code of our newly created webform
4. And how to copy and save the code to file ready to access later

Video 3: Add Confirmation Email

In this video John shows us how to start adding in our email courses messages, starting with our confirmation subscriber email.

We are shown:

1. How to find the confirmation email we need to edit
2. How to edit the email to our needs
3. And how to save the settings

The last 3 video steps were fairly easy to do as we had already covered setting up an autoresponder list when we set up our blog back in weeks 2-6 of this course.

Video 4: Add Mini Course To Aweber

In this video we are shown how to start adding in our mini course to our auto responder series.

John recommends that we give our email course the same title everyday so that people know what to look for.

The easiest way to transfer the email course we created in Week 22 to the auto responder series is to make sure we have already saved our e-course in ‘Notepad’ or as a ‘text’ document.

We are shown:

1. How to select the ‘Follow Up’ message tab to create a new message
2. How to edit the title and personalise the email
3. How to copy and paste our e-course into the autoresponder message.
4. How to set the interval box for when we want the email to be sent
5. How to save our settings
6. And how to repeat the process for the rest of the email course

Video 5: Add Optin Form With Out Graphics

In this video John talks about adding the email course optin form to are sales page. It is recommended that we create a sales page with out an optin form and one with one.

Some marketers don’t like promoting products that have optin forms. So if a marketer approaches us with a very large mailing list, however they will only promote our product if we remove the optin form, then we can change the sales page very quickly to suite.

The other thing John recommends is to place our Optin form approximately a quarter of the way down the page. Apparently, the higher up the sign up form, the more subscribers we should get.

We are shown:

1. How to create a new table on our sales page to insert our optin form into
2. How to switch our sales page in our html editor to ’source code view’
3. How to copy the optin code into position where we want it. (In this case we are using the original same set up we used on our blog with the basic ‘name’ and ‘email’ in a simple box. I have since got a graphic for my blog! )
4. How to switch our page back to normal view
5. And how to save our settings

Video 6: Order Optin Graphics

Ordering optin graphics is optional if we want to spend the extra money. We don’t have to order them if we do not want to, however if we want our optin form to stand out, having graphics that match in to our sales page is a great way to go. They look heaps better than a plain sign up form.

The optin forms are not that expensive, @$25-30 per optin. (I actually organised 4 of them to be made for my website. One for my email course, one for my products updates, one for my affiliates and one for a newsletter that I am yet to create! )

If you want great graphics made, contact Steve from Planet Divinity. He does awesome graphics, very quickly, the maximum I have had to wait for my graphics was 2 days! And if you ever have any problems or you want something changed he is incredibly helpful. I highly recommend him!

Video 7: Add In Optin Form With Graphics

In this video john shows us how to add our optin to our sales page using graphics. The first thing we need to do before doing anything else is copy the optin images to our sales page images folder. (When I first added in my optin to my sales page I forgot to do that and wondered why no images appeared when I uploaded the page. )

Next John shows us step by step how to copy the graphics optin code to our sales page.

We are shown:

1. How to view our sales page in the source view
2. How to select our optin code
3. And how to copy the optin code into the sales page and save details

At the moment I am using a free website editor program called “Kompozer”. It is a good program, very much a “what you see is what you get” The program is fairly easy to use although I have come across some problems with installing my optins into my pages.

John taught us to save our code to ‘notepad’ and then re-open in our editor. This may have worked for some, but didn’t work for me. When Steve made my optin graphics, he also gave me the ‘html’ code. I actually found opening the ‘html’ code in my browser and then doing the copy and pasting directly into the sales page worked easier. Plus i created a table in the sales page to copy the code into.

One thing I have noticed now is that whenever I update or make any changes to my pages that have optins on them, I have to then recheck that the optin works. I have found making changes has moved the optin code around so often I have to re copy and paste the code in again just to be sure.

Video 8: Edit Aweber Code

In this video John shows us how to edit our Aweber codes so that when people sign up they will be directed to our own lists and not a blank field. The best way to check if the codes have been edited correctly is to sign up to our own lists.

I completely agree with this especially after I have learned that every time I make an editorial change that I have to re-position to optin code. I use the same email address to sign up so if I get redirected to the “You have already subscribed page” I know I am successful.

Week 23 Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for Week 23 were:

1. Create an Aweber list for our email course
2. Copy and save the Aweber code for our email course to place in our sales page
3. Create our confirmation email for our mini email course
4. Add our email course as follow up emails to the autoresponder list
5. Order some graphics from Planet Divinity (This is optional)
6. Edit our optin code and add our optin code to our sales page with the graphics if we ordered them
7. Visit the masterclass forum and communicate with fellow students
8. Continue visiting fellow students and marketers blogs and make comments where appropriate
9. Continue posting to our own blogs.

OK so that is Week 23 wrapped up. In week 24 John will be showing us how to create our affiliates page.

Hello All,

This is a very quick post to let you know about the up coming “World Internet Summit Seminar”. The next seminar is being held in Perth Australia from Thursday the 25th to Sunday the 28th of February 2010. That is less than 2 weeks away!

Due to my little one I will not be attending this year, however if you live in Perth or are able to get there I highly highly recommend attending this seminar. This is the seminar that I sent my father to back in 2007 when my daughter was 6 weeks old. This is the seminar that really sparked my interest in creating a business online.

My father came home from that event with pages and pages of notes and downloads and was absolutely mind boggled at the potential of business on the internet. I went through those notes and my internet business journey started.

Last year in March 2009 I was fortunate enough to go as my mother only lived a couple of kilometres from the event and was able to babysit my little one. My father went with me again. The seminar was awesome. I loved ever minute of it. It was a combination of attending the seminar and studying John’s course that has helped me to get where I am today.

That is one big list!!

Now before I continue I will be honest and tell you that each one of these speakers will have a coaching program that they will promote at the end of each of their training sessions, however let me also tell you that none of these speakers are actually paid to be there. Most of these speakers will be paying their own way to be there and speak at the event.

Do not think that the seminar will just be a sales pitch for further training, because it won’t be. I have learned a wealth of information from attending these events and to this date I have not signed up for any of the extra coaching.

I will say that one of the most inspiring of the speakers would have to be Raymond Aaron. I have been lucky enough to see him twice and he is absolutely amazing and he is definitely someone I want to learn from in the future. And the 2 most entertaining and funniest speakers would have to be Sean Roach and Steven Essa. I was giggling all the way through their presentations, however I did learn heaps and heaps.

I am disappointed I can not go this year, however hopefully I will be able to go again next year. Going to these types of internet marketing business seminars can be really rewarding and really inspiring. You get the chance to meet like minded people all there to learn the same as you. The seminars are full of energy and are presented with the complete newbie in mind.

If you are able to get to one of these seminars you will not regret it.

Welcome to Week 22 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

I thought it was about time I get back to completing my series on my masterclass training. I still have quite a few more weeks to write about from last years course and we have already started this years!

I don’t plan on doing summaries for this years course unless I learn something new to add. According to John he will be introducing new content as well as have similar content to the 2009 course. (This is the one my summaries are based on.)

The thing I like about this years course is that I don’t have to watch the videos again. Due to my nagging and feedback from other students John has introduced video transcripts, Woohoo!!!! Happy Dance! So this year I can read the transcripts first and if there is something new in there I need to learn I will then watch the videos. This will save me a heap of time! So without me rambling on anymore I will continue with my summaries.

So lets begin with this weeks tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 22: Create Mini Email Course

This week is all about creating an email mini course that we can use on our sales page to get visitors to opt in for more information. A mini course is a great way to list build plus it can help promote our product.

(Truthfully I have only just added in my mini email course in the last week. I had finally prepared it January and only just got everything set up. Like I have said in previous posts  I am a little behind. If you want to check out my email course you can sign up at www.spraytanningsuccess.com )

If a prospect signs up for the mini course but hasn’t bought our product yet, we have a higher chance of securing their sale by the end of the course. An optin mini course gives us the chance to promote our product to our prospect for the length of the email course. Most mini courses are 5-7 emails of approximately 200-400 words each.

This week we were sent 1 video to watch, a list of tasks to do plus John also gave us access to 3 of his mini courses to get ideas from. (More freebies! Cool! )

Video 1: Create Our Own Email Opt-in Mini Course

One of the main reasons why a mini course is more successful than a free book or video is because you have the opportunity to communicate with our prospects more frequently.

Giving away one product means you can really only communicate with your prospect once, however if we have a 7 part email course we get to promote our product to our prospects another 7 times! This means we have another 7 chances to sell our product to them!

A lot of people can find the idea of writing a mini course a hard task, however it shouldn’t be. We have already written our ebook by now and all we really need to do is pick parts of our ebook that we can reveal. For example “7 methods of”, “7 secrets of”, or “7ways to”, etc etc. It is ok to reveal parts of our book as long as we don’t reveal everything. It is best just to reveal teaser bits as this will give the prospects incentive to then buy our main product.

John recommends for us to read the mini course examples he has supplied to us before we create our own and write our courses in a similar format. The important task here is to provide good content to encourage people to revisit our sales page and actually buy our product.

Week 22 Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for Week 22 were:

1. Read the example mini courses that John provided for us to help with ideas and format for our own mini email course
2. Create a 5-7 part mini email course related to our main product
3. Save each article as a day such as ‘Day 1′, ‘Day 2′, ‘Day 3′, etc
4. Visit the masterclass forum and communicate with fellow students
5. Continue visiting fellow student and internet marketers websites and make comment where appropriate
6. Continue posting to our own blogs

OK so I had better get back to focusing on doing the tasks I need to do! Right now I am in the middle of preparing to start selling on eBay again. I am going to try and sell 2 sheds worth of unwanted stuff very soon as well as set up to start selling all those information products I have to sell on CD as well.

I originally signed up to John’s “90 Day Powerseller Program” back in 2008. I got the website up and running www.jadsbookshop.com but never actually set up the eBay side of things so thought it was about time. Nothing like giving myself a lot of tasks to do!

Also just thought I would let you know I have finally picked up a new book to read. I haven’t read a decent book in a while, however being a fan of Robert Kiyosaki I bought his new book “The Conspiracy Of The Rich”. I have only just begun the book and already I am glued. I will keep you posted and write a review when I am finished.

Since it is the first week of February I thought I had better give you a daily tasks post to let you know what I have been doing the last few weeks. I didn’t end up doing a December daily tasks, the Xmas season got a little hectic for me and before I knew it, it was the middle of January.

If you have been reading my blog posts the last few weeks you can see that I was promoting John Thornhill’s new internet marketing masterclass coaching program for 2010. Well that promotion has finished and as far as I am aware I had 2 people sign up through my link!

I am really looking forward to helping them through this next course as teaching is something I would really like to do again one day. My favourite jobs in my past was teaching. I have taught spray tanning, artificial nails, small business management and dancing. It seems that everything I do I end up teaching. I like passing on what I learn.

This year John has allowed us old students access to the course as well which will make it easier to help others, and thanks to my nagging, he has introduced transcripts of the videos so I am very happy about that! Going back and forward through the videos trying to do the steps and stopping and starting around my little one was quite hard last year so I am really glad the transcripts have been introduced.

I have also been very busy this last month really trying to organize myself and setting myself a time schedule. Now that my little one has given up afternoon sleeps I am finding I am not sitting at the computer in longer daily blocks anymore and instead I am doing an hour here and an hour there. I have now written myself a list of the weekly tasks I need to do and try to mark them off as I do them so I don’t get side tracked.

So without further comment here is the list to my daily tasks for January 2010.

January’s Daily Tasks:

1. My usual daily email download. (I still need to cull myself from a few more lists. Truthfully I don’t believe I need to be on so many marketers lists anymore as most of them are just promoting the same stuff and a lot of them are not delivering a lot of content.)
2. My usual Twitter and Facebook activity (I use Twitter for promoting my blog at this stage. I still have to watch and read Dave Nicholson’s Tweet Dynamite yet that we were given as part of our masterclass training. I plan on doing that training soon. Facebook is what I use to communicate with friends and family.)
3. I downloaded my membership products from PLR Monthly (I like PLR Monthly. They have produced some great products I am still yet to use! Another job for this year! )
4. I downloaded my membership products from Resell Rights Fortune (Resell Rights Lifetime membership was well worth the money I spent. Since I signed up last June I have been able to download over 800 products! Got to love that! )
5. I downloaded my membership products from 30DCplus (I am really looking forward to getting stuck into watching this training. I have been a member for the last year but haven’t really been able to focus on it due to focusing on John’s course. However in saying that if I hadn’t focused on one training course at a time I do not believe I would have the knowledge I do now! Focus is the key! )
6. I finally finished creating my email course for my spray tanning website and uploaded and installed it ready to go. (I just need to change the sales page to include it, however if you would like to sign up and have a look at it, check this link out here: “The 7 Secrets To Successful Spray Tanning”)
7. I added in all my website legals to my spray tanning website. (It is important to have your disclaimers on your websites in order to comply with international laws. If you are not able to go to an internet lawyer and get documents made, there are some software programs that can be used to help you out that are easy to use. You can check out my legals at www.spraytanningsuccess.com and look at the bottom of the page! )
8. I removed some plugins from my website that were making it load really slow. (I removed the quote of the day, twitter friends, and pretty link plugins. I do plan on removing more as I discover which ones are causing problems.)
9. I re-sized some of my advertising banners to smaller ones to my sidebar is starting to look more even. ( I was starting to think my sidebar was looking a little cluttered)
10. I removed my amazon sidebar widget. (Truthfully I have not earned a thing from the widget in nearly a year so I figured it a waste of space plus it was really slowing down my loading time. I also plan on removing adsense soon as well. I just checked my figures and it isn’t worth having on here!)
11. I wrote a few more training posts to last years training program. Week 19, Week 20, & Week 21 (I still have another @ 16 more posts to write on the course to get ready for an onslaught as I really try to finish this series! )
12. I promoted the new John Thornhill Internet Marketing Master Class Training Program for 2010. (The course is now closed for the year. John has taken on 160 new students. I do hope they get as much out of it as I did. I used my blog, Twitter and Facebook to promote the program plus I made a new site dedicated to the training.)
13. I created a new site dedicated to promoting John’s training program. www.johnthornhillmasterclasstraining.com (This site only took me a day to create! I was really proud of myself once I completed it and uploaded it. It showed me that you can create websites quickly once you know how! )

That is the main list so far!

Another project I have started this month is to start writing up notes to my “Easily Answered Membership”. About this time last year I signed up to “Easily Answered” for around $20 per month. The site is a great site in that it is a question and answers site. Members ask questions and experts answer them.

However the downfall is that everything is only available online, and the site is a little hard to navigate around. I have also noticed the site has gone quiet the last couple of months so I will be looking to cancel my membership, but before I do I want to write all the notes from all the questions and answers.

So far I have listened to over 2 hours worth of audio and written up to question 50, there are over 750 of them! I have a little while to go! My aim is to get this done before the next subscription payment comes around. That means I have to listen to around 25 questions a day!

The other thing I spent time doing this month was that I was given free access to a new article writing product that is being promoted by a fellow student Craig Stringham called Niche Assassin.

This is a great product. I was lucky enough to be given access to his gold membership which has over 4 hours worth of videos on learning how to write articles, how to promote them, how to drive traffic using them and so so much more.

I was really worried about doing article marketing before I watched the videos. Now I am not. If you want to learn about article marketing these videos are worth getting and worth watching. I had to go back and forward and back and forward through them and took a heap of notes.

I loved the videos my mind was left boggled. The only thing I would have liked to see in the product is written transcripts of the videos as I really like notes to refer back to when I go to do the training steps. However in saying that I do believe the videos are well worth getting for the cheap price Craig is selling them at as I am now looking forward to getting stuck into writing articles for my spray tanning website!

OK so that is about it for the month of January. I was quite busy and really tried to get a lot done. The only problem is I had quite a few insomnia nights and now I think I am addicted to coffee!!
