Internet Marketing Daily Tasks!

Hello All,

OK, I know I haven’t posted my daily tasks for the last 2 weeks so I thought I had better write a quick post and do so.

I was visiting a few fellow students blogs over the last 2 days and was reminded that some people actually enjoy reading what I have been up to! :D

Thank you Gwen Tanner for keeping me accountable.

So to the point of this post……

The last 2 weeks I have actually done quite a bit so I will list as much as I can but not necessarily in order.

The Last 2 Weeks Daily Tasks:

  1. Downloaded the final training days and checklists from 30DC.
  2. Watched a Webinar on 30 Day Challenge Plus. (This is a paid education training program that is an extension of the Thirty Day Challenge. I actually joined this program when it was launched last year. I have downloaded all the training but still haven’t watched it. I did tell you I am an internet marketers dream. Buy stuff and it sits on my computer until I get around to it. So much work and learning to do and so little time. )
  3. Continued adding to my Resources Page and add in a My Favourite People Page. (This page gives you a link to all the people I like learning from online.)
  4. Watched Days 17, 18, 19, 20 & 21 of the 30DC training.
  5. Downloaded Week 32 & 33 of the John Thornhill Masterclass Training. (Only 3 weeks to go and I am so far behind  )
  6. Visited fellow student blogs and Internet Marketers I like following and read some really great posts. (I actually got lost reading for hours and realised I had to get back to work quiet a few times!)
  7. Ordered a couple of Domain Names at “1 and 1″ of some website ideas I have had. (“1 and 1″ are the Domain Name service I use.)
  8. Researched some software I need to order to write privacy statements and disclaimer forms for my websites. (Currently I am looking into 2 different programs.)
  9. Went to the World Internet Summit Seminar Dream Life. (I spent 3 days listening to 11 world class speakers on everything about earning money online. My head is still mumble jumble! ;) )
  10. Watched an excellent video on Paul Lear’s blog on installing plugins on our blogs. (I had been wondering for days what plugins I needed to install and how to actually do it. I was a bit nervous about it all until I watched Paul’s video. He explained things really easy and simple, plus gave a list of the recommended plugins he has installed.)
  11. I started installing some of the recommended plugins onto my site. (I have installed the following so far: “Sociable”, “Google Analytics”, “Dofollow”, “CommentLuv”, “All In One SEO Pack”, “Add To Any”, “Fast And Secure Contact Form”, “Gravatars”, & “Yet Another Related Post”. I still have a few more to do. I will write about each one at a later stage once I understand them all! :? )
  12. Added in a “Follow Me On Twitter” Badge on the top right sidebar from www.twitterbuttons.com. You can also search a huge library of images for twitter at www.twitterlogos.com. I found out about the Twitter Badges from reading some posts on Petra Weiss’s Blog. (You can follow me on Twitter by clicking on the badge up the top right. It will take you to my twitter page. I am still new to all of this. :P )
  13. I bought Dave Nicholson’s “Twitter Dynamite” today. (Haven’t watched the videos yet but I think it will be excellent training when I do.)
  14. Created an online signature at www.mylivesignature.com. (I found this link from Steve Kings Blog.)
  15. Posted 3 times on my blog over the last 2 weeks.
  16. I did a back up of my computer.
  17. I watched an awesome video of a fellow Aussie “Nick Vujicic” on Omar Martin’s Blog. Nick is awesome and really inspirational. (I realised how fortunate and lucky I am and spent the rest after the afternoon playing with my little one.)

OK. I think that is it so far apart from the usual like checking my emails, having a chat on facebook etc etc.

I hope by reading my daily tasks that you can see that this whole process of creating an income online and learning internet marketing IS a slow process and doesn’t happen overnight.

Remember “The Tortoise always wins the race”

Until next time…….

  1. Hi Jacinta,

Glad I can help! I think you did a lot in the past couple of weeks, and as matter of fact, I don’t know how you keep track. I couldn’t even tell you what I did in the past two hours :)

I’m glad I stopped by today.

    Hi Gwen,

No Worries on the mention. when I read your posts it reminded me I hadn’t written up my tasks in 2 weeks.

 I can so relate to the memory lapse! I actually keep a little note book beside me when I am at the computer. Each time I do a different task, I try to write it down. Sometimes I forget and just try and list the major stuff.

I think it helps people see what is going on behind the scenes of trying to set up a business online.

    Thanks for popping by.

  2. Hi Jacinta,

Looks like you’ve been pretty busy over the last couple of weeks.

Thanks for the mention about my blog plugins video and page. :)

I think I will start doing a summary of week on my blog, as I’ve got a bit behind with blog posts lately, so I’ve not been letting everyone know what I’ve been doing.

I’ve also just replied to your question at my blog about tags, I’m not sure you will be able to do it on your theme. But I have another suggestion for you that might help with SEO.

Keep up the good work with this blog. :)

    Paul.

    Hi Paul,

No Worries on the mention. Your video did make it easy for me to install the plugins. I was really unsure until I watched your video and read your post.

I like the fact that we can all learn from each other, and help each other out. That is the beauty about this industry, we are all helping each other succeed. :D

I will pop past your blog and check out your answer to my questions.

    Thanks for popping by.

    Hi Steve,

Thank you for the comments on my blog. :D I have been spending a lot of time prettying it up. We don’t realise all the little things we need to do behind the scenes to put this whole “creating a business online” thing established.

I have actually had some fun working with the “html”. I learnt how to add the border around the spray tan add the other night and did a massive happy dance.

Now I am madly trying to catch up with JT’s videos. Hope all is good.

    Hi Paul,

No Worries on the plug in name. If I find any other cool ones that help out I will let you know. :D

I really like using them. I think they add a lot of character and expression to our posts and comments. They are a great way to reflect our moods with what we are saying. ;)

    Hope all is great.

  7. Hi Jacinta,

What can i say i know what you mean by fitting everything in, i mean even though i don`t have any kids, working twelve hour shifts and looking after my home and me and my gang of pets takes loads of time although i do find time for masterclass most of the time?

    Take care….Ed.

    Hi Ed,

It is hard to try and keep up with everything. I have days of feeling overwhelm at times. There is so much to learn!

Wow! On the twelve hour shifts. They would be hard! And can relate to the gang of pets! :D 2 dogs & 2 cats, 1 child & husband
Sometimes I feel like I am running around like a Goose! Although then I don’t complain when I hear of mums with 3 kids and work full-time as well as husband and home. My hat goes off to them, they are definitely superwomen!

Hope all is good & thank you for popping by!
It will be sad when MC finishes. I hope we all keep in touch this way. :D

    Take Care

  8. Hi Jacinta,
I think for achieving so much over the past couple of weeks within your little spare time you must have been one hell of a fast turtle – you must have been on fire!
I really enjoyed reading your post, and thank you so much for linking back to my blog! :-D
The smilies plugin looks awesome – I might have to try it on my blog. Have you ever thought about installing the Top Commentators plugin on your site, too?
BTW, I thought you might find this post useful: http://www.petra-weiss.com/how-to-hide-affiliate-links.html
You can be sure I will be stopping by more often, and I hope to see you on my blog occasionally, too!

Thanks for popping by! on being the fast turtle! I think it is more insomnia and lots of chocolate and coffee! :D

I will definitely be popping by your blog regularly. I have been learning so much from you. I really like the fact that we are all learning from each other and encouraging each other etc etc.

I will definitely look at the post about hiding the affiliate links! I have installed Prettylink but haven’t set it up yet. I will read your post first. And yes I was going to install the Top Commentators plugin. I just haven’t done it yet. There are so many cool plugins I am learning about.

Better get back to working while everyone is sleeping :D

    See you on your blog!
