It’s Been Another Month!!

Hello All,

Yes I know, It has been another month in between posts. I do have a good excuse!! :) Honest I do!!

Well the last month I have been working like a Trojan! Installing software, re-setting up my computer, re-downloading everything I had lost with the hard drive crash and madly, madly catching up on my training. I have done so much that I didn’t have time to actually sit down and write here!

However now its time to get back into the swing of things and let you know exactly what I have been doing…….I think I may be writing this over a few posts..

On a side track note, I have also started doing the 30 Day Challenge (30DC) and some of my tasks are to do with that training program as well. I will explain as I go.

Daily Tasks…..

The setting up of my new hard drive. In my last post I had started the basics of installing my operational software.  Well continuing on from there I have also installed…..

  1. Installed Mozilla Firefox. (This is the browser I like using. It is also the recommended browser for 30DC. you can download this browser from here Firefox Browser)
  2. Installed ACD Viewer. (This is a simple photo editing program I like. It came with my digital camera from years ago)
  3. Installed Adobe Air. (This application is free and available online. There are quite a few programs that now run on this type of platform such as Market Samuri and you need to have adobe air installed before you can set up other programs.)
  4. Installed Market Samuri. (I am fairly new to this program. It was recommended in last years 30DC and I actually bought the program at a discount price as part of doing the challenge. From what I have used so far of it, it is a brilliant program for internet marketing in researching niches etc etc. I will talk more about this program in future posts as we are covering it in this years 30DC.  You can learn more about this software at Market Samuri. )
  5. Installed Quick Time from Apple. (This is a great application that allows me to watch “mp4″ and “mov4″ videos on my computer. Most of the 30DC training videos are in either of these formats. The application is free and you can download it from here Quick Time.)
  6. Installed AVS Software. ( I bought this software last Christmas. My new digital camera takes AVI videos and I needed a software program to convert the AVI format to DVD format so I could create DVD’s of my Bubba for all the Grandparents for Christmas. I really like the software. It is easy to use. Plus once you buy the license which is only @$50US you get access to all their other audio, video, recording and editing software applications. There are heaps, well worth the investment.)
  7. Installed Apple Itunes. (I have really used this application yet, but I will be learning more about it while doing 30DC. It is one the recommended applications for downloading audios and videos.)
  8. Signed up to Twitter. (I am completely new to this, so I have no idea what I am doing here, but we are learning how to use twitter in 30DC so I am sure I will talk more about it in future posts. However if you want to follow me on twitter go here Me On Twitter.)
  9. Signed up to Ustream. (30DC does live TV training as well as their recorded videos. It is just like watching TV but on the Net. It looks like an excellent site for people that want to run live webinars where people can contribute aswell or actually set up their own TV channel. When you log in to the site while a TV program is running live you can actually chat to people that are also watching the channel. I will talk more about this site as I learn more about it. Go here for more info Ustream.)
  10. Installed Skype. (I am yet to use this software, but I am aware that if I get myself a good headset or skype phone and web-cam then I will be able to make free calls using my broadband connection. Got to like the free calls thing! the free calls are between skype- skype users. Skype is recommended by most internet marketers as a great way to have international conference calls that you can record and communicate with people all over the world easily. I am still new to this so i will talk more about it in future posts as I learn more. If you want to learn more go here Skype.)
  11. Signed up to You Tube. (Great site for watching videos. It is recommended to create an account through 30DC. Not sure what I am going to use it for yet, but I have been a good girl and done my training task! You can sign up to You Tube here if you haven’t already You Tube. The 30DC videos and training can also be watched via You Tube.)
  12. Installed The Recommended Firefox Add-On’s By 30DC. (30 DC has recommended a number of add-on’s to install into your Firefox browser so I have installed whats recommended so far. These are Search Status, SEO for Firefox, Stumble Upon Toolbar and Google Global. I don’t know much about these add-on’s yet so I will talk more about them as I learn.)

OK……So that is what I have installed on my computer so far over the last month and set up accounts etc etc. As this post is getting quite long I will write some more in my next post. Besides I need a break and it’s Lunch Time!!! :)

So until next time…….

Remember one day and one step at a time…….

Be Good To You

Jacinta :D
