John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Master Class Coaching Program Week 11!

jtmaster

Hello All,

Welcome to Week 11 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

So continuing on with my internet business training studies of how to create a business online we have now officially begun our product writing process.

Without further comment, lets begin with this weeks tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 11: Begin Product Creation

As usual we were sent our welcome letter, our checklist and we only had 2 videos to download to watch and learn from. This week was all about beginning the product creation and officially start our writing process. Whether we are using private label or ‘Elance’ content or if we are writing from scratch ourselves, John has allowed and anticipated that we will spend a good 2-4 weeks actually writing our product.

Video 1: Begin Writing Ebook

In this video John talks about beginning to write our product using the ebook structure we developed in Week 10. He recommends to write one chapter at a time and rest and then go from there. How we write the ebook is really up to us, just as long as we actually start the process and write! :)

The first draft is always the most difficult. John suggests that we should just write and write and not worry about editing at this stage. We can always come back and check the spelling and grammar at a later stage. It is important to get our thoughts and ideas onto paper or into the computer so to speak and worry about the finer details later on. It is irrelevant to think about the size of the book at this stage, it is just important to start the development process.

Writing my first draft was one of the most difficult parts for me because I was so tempted to edit and read as I went. Whenever I did stop and edit I would loose my thought process and forget what I was doing, trying to say and the direction I was going in. I would find if I stopped and edited I would have to walk away and come back to it because I was often left confused. Try to just write the first draft with out stopping as best as possible.

Video 2: Adding Simple Hyperlinks

In this video john shows us how to add hyperlinks into our ebook. For example if we want to recommend a website or an affiliate product.

We are shown:

  1. How to select the type we want to hyperlink
  2. How to access the hyperlink tab
  3. How to edit the link
  4. How to add the link address
  5. How to save the settings
  6. And how to check the link

By now we should know how to add hyperlinks from our experience blog posting, however John shows us step by step how to do this just in case some of us are unfamiliar with Microsoft word or an editor program like Open Office.

The other important thing that John points out to us is that it is imperative for us to only recommend websites and affiliate links in our ebook if they are relevant to our subject and topic at the time. It is important that the ebook isn’t full of affiliate links as people won’t like that and will think your ebook is just trying to constantly sell to them.

We should only add links where relevant! :)
Apart from focusing on our ebook creation our week was a fairly easy week this week. Yippy! My head was starting to feel brain drained from all the technical stuff!

Week 11 Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for week 11 were:

  1. Begin writing our ebook
  2. Visit the masterclass forum for help if we need
  3. Continue posting to our blogs
  4. Continue visiting fellow student and marketers blogs and comment where appropriate

We are now into the guts of our product creation development phase and the next few weeks are completely dedicated to writing our ebook.

It is time to create! ;)

OK so that is week 11 wrapped up.

So until next time……..

Enjoy Your Learning!

P.P.S John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Masterclass Coaching may be closed at the moment. He has just started the new 2010 program and he only ever takes a limited amount of students at a time so as to dedicate himself to our learning, basically it is a first in first served situation.

Update 10/4/2010: John has just released a one month $4.95 trial to Masterclass meaning you can sign up for $4.95 and trial the training. As far as I know he is limiting these places. If you see a sold out sign, then do sign up to be notified when there are new places available again.

This training program was the best decision I ever made. I would not be doing what I am today if it wasn’t for John. I can not recommend this program enough! :D

  1. Hi Jacinta,

Thanks for the feedback you left for me, on my ebook.

It was nice to read this post knowing that I’ve finished writing my ebook now, and reminisce the stages I went through as I was writing it.

I didn’t really have much knowledge about writing a book when I started it, so I was falling into the trap of re-reading and editing as I wrote each chapter. I agree that if definitely makes you lose your flow, and it’s much better to just write it all and check the grammar later.

I’m sure that when I go to write another ebook, the process will be much easier, especially as I have picked up a few tips from your recent posts here. ;)

I’ve just decided to use the KeywordLuv thing, lets see if I did it right?.. I think I might install that on my blog too. :)

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for popping by!

No Worries on reading your book. I will write you a cool testimonial when you need it. I enjoyed reading it, and really liked the suggestions.

I installed the keyword luv tool, as Petra talked about it on her blog. The only thing I have noticed is that I have had a few spammers trying to write comments that are rubbish and not putting their name to it. I have deleted them.

I have no problem in giving people link love, but I would at least like people to be genuine about it! :?

See you on your blog soon! :mrgeen:

    Jacinta

  2. Thanks for doing this Jacinta. Week 11 is where I dropped out of the Masterclass course  , but your notes are going to be invaluable when I eventually get around to writing an eBook.
    Keep up the good work.

    Hi John,

No worries on the posts. I think doing these is a great way for everyone to have a quick referrer. I have really enjoyed writing up the summaries, although I still have a heap to go. As you know John is still sending us videos. We are at Week 42 now! I think I am somewhere at about week 22 with my tasks! I will get there eventually!

Thank you for popping by! I have written up to week 14 now!

    Hope all is good.
