Welcome to Week 13 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

This week was another quite week! Yippy! The main focus for this week was reviewing our first draft so without further comment lets begin with this weeks tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 13: Review First Draft

No videos for this week! We were sent our welcome letter and our usual checklist of what tasks we needed to do for the week.

Our main focus this week was completing the first draft, reviewing it, and adding in more content if need be to create a final first draft.

Week 13 Summary

According to John the first thing we need to do when reviewing our first draft of our ebook is to actually read it! While reading the draft, make notes and add more content if we think areas need more information. Change the spelling if we notice spelling mistakes, edit grammar if we notice content not making any sense etc etc.

Once we have done this to our first draft John recommends taking a day or 2 off and then repeat the process of editing again for the second time!

Once we have our second review copy completed it is recommended to take another day or 2 off and repeat the process of editing for a third time!

Once we have reviewed our ebook at least 3-4 times we should have our ebook near completion and ready for someone else to review and edit! (This was the nervous part! )

A little hint on editing: When I was at the editing part of my first draft one of the best things that helped me edit was to actually read my ebook aloud. For example I read the book as if I was reading it to someone that couldn’t read, even though there was just me in the room. This may sound silly to some, however I found doing this helped me focus on my editing and I was able to pick up grammar mistakes quickly.

Another option is you could record yourself reading the book and listen back to it in stages.

Week 13 Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for week 13 were:

1. Read and review our first draft of our ebook and make any necessary changes
2. Have 2 days off
3. Read and review our ebook draft for a second time and make any necessary changes
4. Have 2 days off
5. Read and review our ebook draft for a third time and make any necessary changes
6. Visit the masterclass forum and communicate with fellow students
7. Continue visiting fellow student and marketers blogs and make comments where appropriate
8. Continue posting to our own blogs

Again this week was a fairly quiet week focusing completely on finishing our final first draft ready for someone to review next week.
