Welcome to Week 19 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

No that the silly season is over, I thought it was about time I continued on with my summaries of my training. Technically we have reached half way on our training program. However as you may know from previous posts John has extended our course. I am hoping to bring you the next few summaries fairly quickly if I can.

So lets begin with this weeks tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 19: Sales Page Creation Part 3

This week we continued creating and completing the first draft of our sales page. We were sent 3 videos to download and our usual welcome letter and checklist of tasks to do.

Video 1: Including A Guarantee

The next step we are up to in our sales page creation process is adding the guarantee for the product. This is covered in Section 17 – Template Step 7 of Randy Smith’s book ‘Sales Letter ABC’.

John shows us a guarantee he has for one of his websites and gives us permission to copy the image and the text to include it in our own sales page if we don’t want to create our own.

We are shown:

1. Where to copy our guarantee from John’s website and upload it to our own sales page
2. How to edit the guarantee image address to our website instead of John’s
3. How to edit the text inside the guarantee template
4. And how to check the edits and changes have been successful

Video 2: Create Our Call To Action

Now it is time to create our ‘Call To Action’. This is the part of the sales page that encourages our visitor to click on the ‘Buy It Now’ button and buy our product.

John shows us a few of his websites and the wording he has used for his call to action. One of the best words to use in this section is ‘Invest’ as this encourages our clients to invest in our product rather than just buying our product. The psychology of the word ‘Invest’ implies ‘Value For Money’ and ‘Purchasing For Personal Gain’ whether it be knowledge, business, personal or financial etc.

Most of the ‘Call To Actions’ on John’s various websites are very similar and again we are given permission to copy one of his ‘Call To Actions’ and adapt and use the text and images on our own sales pages.

Video 3: Our Sales Page Closing Text

The final part to the first draft of our sales page is to add in our closing text and our P.S’s and P.P.S’s.

Just like before in the last 2 videos John shows us a couple of his websites and encourages us to utilize his text and adapt it as our own. I guess allowing us to do this is giving us that extra helping hand. The other positive to this whole process is having access to ‘Sales Letter ABC’ as every step of the sales page creation process is covered in depth in the ebook.

Once we have included our closing text and added a couple of P.P.S’s (These are our final ‘Call To Action’ comments), we have successfully completed the first draft of our sales page.

Now it is time to read it, edit it, read it again, make more changes and ask others to have a read just like when we edited the drafts to our ebook.

Week 19 Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for week 19 were:

1. Add our guarantee to our sales page, either our own or adapt one of Johns
2. Add our call to action to our sales page
3. Add our closing text to our sales page
4. Read our sales page and edit it
5. Take some time off
6. Read our sales page and edit it again
7. Ask a couple of people to read and review our sales page
8. Edit and make any changes to our sales page that are recommended
9. Keep visiting our masterclass forum and ask for help if we get stuck or need advice
10. Keep visiting fellow student and internet marketers blogs and make comments where appropriate
11. Keep posting to our own blogs

So that is week 19 wrapped up. We should have successfully completed the first draft to our sales page. Now it is time to try and find some bonus products to include to sweated the deal!
