Welcome to Week 22 of John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Training Masterclass Coaching Program.

I thought it was about time I get back to completing my series on my masterclass training. I still have quite a few more weeks to write about from last years course and we have already started this years!

I don’t plan on doing summaries for this years course unless I learn something new to add. According to John he will be introducing new content as well as have similar content to the 2009 course. (This is the one my summaries are based on.)

The thing I like about this years course is that I don’t have to watch the videos again. Due to my nagging and feedback from other students John has introduced video transcripts, Woohoo!!!! Happy Dance! So this year I can read the transcripts first and if there is something new in there I need to learn I will then watch the videos. This will save me a heap of time! So without me rambling on anymore I will continue with my summaries.

So lets begin with this weeks tasks…….

Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 22: Create Mini Email Course

This week is all about creating an email mini course that we can use on our sales page to get visitors to opt in for more information. A mini course is a great way to list build plus it can help promote our product.

(Truthfully I have only just added in my mini email course in the last week. I had finally prepared it January and only just got everything set up. Like I have said in previous posts  I am a little behind. If you want to check out my email course you can sign up at www.spraytanningsuccess.com )

If a prospect signs up for the mini course but hasn’t bought our product yet, we have a higher chance of securing their sale by the end of the course. An optin mini course gives us the chance to promote our product to our prospect for the length of the email course. Most mini courses are 5-7 emails of approximately 200-400 words each.

This week we were sent 1 video to watch, a list of tasks to do plus John also gave us access to 3 of his mini courses to get ideas from. (More freebies! Cool! )

Video 1: Create Our Own Email Opt-in Mini Course

One of the main reasons why a mini course is more successful than a free book or video is because you have the opportunity to communicate with our prospects more frequently.

Giving away one product means you can really only communicate with your prospect once, however if we have a 7 part email course we get to promote our product to our prospects another 7 times! This means we have another 7 chances to sell our product to them!

A lot of people can find the idea of writing a mini course a hard task, however it shouldn’t be. We have already written our ebook by now and all we really need to do is pick parts of our ebook that we can reveal. For example “7 methods of”, “7 secrets of”, or “7ways to”, etc etc. It is ok to reveal parts of our book as long as we don’t reveal everything. It is best just to reveal teaser bits as this will give the prospects incentive to then buy our main product.

John recommends for us to read the mini course examples he has supplied to us before we create our own and write our courses in a similar format. The important task here is to provide good content to encourage people to revisit our sales page and actually buy our product.

Week 22 Checklist:

Our checklist tasks for Week 22 were:

1. Read the example mini courses that John provided for us to help with ideas and format for our own mini email course
2. Create a 5-7 part mini email course related to our main product
3. Save each article as a day such as ‘Day 1′, ‘Day 2′, ‘Day 3′, etc
4. Visit the masterclass forum and communicate with fellow students
5. Continue visiting fellow student and internet marketers websites and make comment where appropriate
6. Continue posting to our own blogs

OK so I had better get back to focusing on doing the tasks I need to do! Right now I am in the middle of preparing to start selling on eBay again. I am going to try and sell 2 sheds worth of unwanted stuff very soon as well as set up to start selling all those information products I have to sell on CD as well.

I originally signed up to John’s “90 Day Powerseller Program” back in 2008. I got the website up and running www.jadsbookshop.com but never actually set up the eBay side of things so thought it was about time. Nothing like giving myself a lot of tasks to do!

Also just thought I would let you know I have finally picked up a new book to read. I haven’t read a decent book in a while, however being a fan of Robert Kiyosaki I bought his new book “The Conspiracy Of The Rich”. I have only just begun the book and already I am glued. I will keep you posted and write a review when I am finished.
