Internet Marketing Masterclass Week 9: Niche Selection Continued…..

This week we actually got to relax a little, well sort of! Due to some of the responses in the forum from some fellow students having struggles with choosing their niche, John decided to give us an extra week for research.

We were only sent one video to download this week, as well as our usual welcome letter and we only had a small list of tasks to do on our checklist.

Video 1: Niche Selection Continued..

In this video John talks about the possibilities of struggling in deciding on a niche to enter into. Some of us may have problems and are confused as to what to do. For example; the niche that we are knowledgeable in may not be classed as a hungry market. (Like me and spray tanning! )

If this occurs John suggests that we choose a subject that we may want to learn about, such as we might want to learn how to cook traditional Cajun meals etc. (I just made that example up! ) As long as we have the time to research we don’t have to pick a subject that we know about. We can do the research to find a topic that already has a hungry market of existing buyers and then learn about the subject and create a product accordingly.

In order to find a niche that has existing buyers, and looks like it is simple to learn and become competent in, we need to research the Clickbank Marketplace and search for products/niches that have higher gravities of 10 or more.

Operation Ebook

The second part of this weeks tasks was that we were given free access to Paula Brett’s book called “Operation Ebook”. This ebook normally sells for $37 (Check the sales page here: Operation Ebook). The advantage of being one of John’s students and part of the Masterclass Training Program is that we have been given free access to quite a few things! (How cool is that! Another Freebie! Got to love that!! )

I did read Paula’s book when I was making changes to my manuals earlier in the year and I must say the book is excellent. Paula’s style of writing was very easy to understand. Everything was written in a simple step by step format and as Paula says “take me by the hand” style.

Having the availability to read “Operation Ebook” while trying to create my ebooks was awesome. It helped guide me as to how easy creating an ebook can be.

Our checklist tasks for Week 9 were:

1. Visit the masterclass forum and communicate with fellow students, compare ideas etc etc.
2. Post to our blogs
3. Visit and comment on fellow student and internet marketers blogs
4. Research the Clickbank Marketplace if we are struggling for ideas.
5. Download our free access to “Operation Ebook”
6. Read “Operation Ebook”
7. Continue with our research

OK so that is Week 9 wrapped up.

P.P.S John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Masterclass Coaching may be closed at the moment. He has just started the new 2010 program and he only ever takes a limited amount of students at a time so as to dedicate himself to our learning, basically it is a first in first served situation.
