Just A Quick Update!

Hello All,


It has been nearly 2 weeks since I last posted and I thought I had better get a wriggle on and let you know what I have been up to.

Life has been a little bit busy the last couple of weeks. I have had interstate visitors come and stay as well as I have taken some time out to catch up with some old friends from 20 years ago.

All study and no play makes Jacinta a sad girl!! :lol:

OK so the point of this post.

I have a few tasks I am focusing on at the moment that are taking up a lot of my time. You may remember me talking about a membership that I have to a website called “Easily Answered”? Well cut a long story short I have been going through all the audios in the membership and transcribing them for future reference.

I actually want to cancel the membership. I have been lucky in that I have only been paying @$20 per month, however I have had this membership now for 18 months and haven’t done anything with it. Does that sound familiar to you! :roll:

There are over 770 audio files of questions and answers in there and each audio is about 5 mins long. So do the maths on that one. That is over 64 hours of audio to be transcribed, and each audio takes me around 10-15 minutes to transcribe give or take. This is a big job!! Approximately 300 hours worth!!! :shock:

As of yesterday I am half way through.  :?

I must say there is an absolute wealth of information on the website I have been really surprised with what I have been learning. The content is amazing and if I add up on what I have spent on the membership so far it has been well worth it.

The reason why I am going to cancel the membership is because there has been no new content added since October last year and basically I have a monthly membership to a website that really isn’t active anymore apart from the content that is in there already.

Over the next few weeks I will be focusing on this task pretty much 100 percent. The sooner I finish the task the sooner I can cancel the membership and allocate the money to better use.

I also plan on completing JT’s Masterclass’s final couple of posts and to start going through ‘The Challenge’ training.

So much to do and so little time. I need a clone! :lol:

OK so I had better get back to the transcribing.

I will still be writing my motivational posts over the next 2 weeks, however I won’t start writing about doing ‘The Challenge’ until ‘Easily Answered’ is finished!

Blame Will Smith’s video from my last post. It got me FOCUSED! :lol:

  1. Phew Jacinta you really do take on big projects. ;-) Good idea though, get everything downloaded, then cancel that $20 subscription. I have cancelled ALL my monthly payments, so at least Internet Marketing isn’t costing me anything. I can regard it as a free hobby, until I start earning. :-)

    Guess What? I have already given up trying to do the 30 day challenge. :-) I might have a quick look at what they recommend, but I don’t want to spend much time on it. Still trying to implement what I already know; There’s no room in my brain for any more information!

    I just had a giggle reading your comment. I didn’t realise how big the project was until I started transcribing. When I first bought the subscription I thought, “Yes I will get to it” I had all the right intentions and then concentrated on John’s training instead. I didn’t want to cancel the subscription because I knew the wealth of information in there is gold.

    This subscription is a perfect example of an “internet marketers dream” someone that buys a subscription and keeps it going just because the fear they might miss out on something. :|

    Now that I have finished Jt’s training and are a bit better organised it rose to the top of my list of things to do! :roll:

    If I knuckle down, I should have it finished in the next 2 weeks. Some of the information and tips and tricks are awesome that I have learned so far. I can’t wait to spend the time implementing them and sharing them once the transcriptions are finished.

    There is heaps on blogging, traffic, product info etc etc etc and some really advanced stuff as well.

    :lol: on 30DC. You did better than me. I haven’t even started it!!!! Haven’t even watched pre season due to “Easily Answered”. I am a determined and one very focused lady at the moment! :lol:

    I can so relate to having no room in my brain. There are days when I don’t think my brain works at all due to information overload! That is when the bimbo in me surfaces!! :lol:

    Had better get back to the transcriptions, I am up to Q436 out of 772. Bubba is asleep so I am taking advantage of the time! No tele for me tonight! :(

  2. HI Jacinta, Great post! Yes, it sounds totally familiar! – I was a member of EA as well and I couldn’t get through a fraction of the Easily Answered questions after several months of membership. Still, I learned and stored some very good stuff from the site. Be well, Steve D.

    Good to see I was not the only ‘Internet Marketers Dream Person’ :lol:

    There is a huge amount of info in the website, an unbelievable amount, some of the questions have been repeats, however a lot of them have been some really advanced stuff as well. I am learning heaps.

    As of now I am up to Q450 of 772, so getting there slowly. If I knuckle down I should have them transcribed in the next 2 weeks tops and then I can start implementing the little gold nuggets I have found and teaching others.

    Studying around my 3 year old is a slow process. I have now learned the importance on focusing on the tasks at hand until they are completed. Since taking that approach in the last month I have actually achieved so much more! :shock:

    A little irony perhaps? ;)

    Good post, 300 hours worth of doing homework and listening to audio is crazy, but I’m glad you area already half way through. Information overload sure is a huge problem for everybody.. I have to agree with John up there that you really do need to make some money first before starting to invest on any further online business product.

    My only suggestion I can give you is to take advantage of all the technologies out there & keep trying doing different marketing strategies to improve your site that will make your life a lot easier. Take part in warrior forum and digital forum (IM community). Those how to eBook or membership site won’t help you as a real life experience Good luck on your journey!

    I completely agree, this is nuts! :lol: And yes I am now over half way! Happy Dance! :lol:

    Like John said about purchases, I actually made myself a promise at the end of the year, that if a product was software related for business then I would look into purchasing, however if not, then I would not be an ‘Internet Marketers Dream’ anymore and refrain from buying the latest and greatest must have how to product! :lol

    The last 2 and a bit years I have been a delight for most marketers. I have so much products collecting dust on my hard drive it isn’t funny! Although it is silly really as I am sure there are a lot of others out there just like me so I don’t feel alone! :roll:

    This year is all about actually going through all those products, canceling memberships to subscriptions that I am not using and making the most with what I already have access to. Since taking that approach I have achieved so much more and have been less side tracked.

    Thank you for the tips and advice. I am actually looking forward to spending some time in the warrior forum. It is on my list of things to do after completing a few of the training courses I have collecting dust! :|

    I guess the knowledge has gotten the better of me that I actually bought the products so I had better at least go through them and get my money’s worth so to speak.

  4. Hi Jacinta, I don’t know how you do it girl, fairplay to you. Your little girl will be so proud of you and your efforts when she’s old enough to realise the hard work that you put in.

    I really do take my hat off to you my friend and wish you every success.

    How can anyone be expected to pay a monthly subscription without monthly fresh content? Could you not download the files and end your membership that bit sooner?

    Hi Barry,

    I think my little girl is going to think she has one crazy and dedicated mumma! :lol:

    Re the subscription. There was no way to download the files to my computer or else I would have canceled the subscription so long ago.

    All the audio files play from the internet and the only way you can access them is via the website, that is why I ended up deciding on keeping the subscription until I could dedicate the time and make it my focus to do the transcriptions.

    I don’t regret doing this. The amount of knowledge I have gained is enormous. So far I am now up to @482 out of 772. So 280Q’s to go.

    Truthfully I am probably sure that if I spent 6 weeks full time in the warrior forum I could have probably learned the same stuff, however at the time I signed up for the membership I knew no better and like I have mentioned before I was an “internet marketers dream client!” :shock:

    I am a little more skeptical and knowledgeable now thanks to John’s training and the last 12 months online. You learn as you grow! :P
