My Internet Business Daily Tasks 5-10-09

Hello All,

How is everyone? :D

I thought it was about time to write my daily tasks for the last week to keep you posted on my journey in creating a online business. If you have been visiting my blog a few times over the last week you will see I have been a very busy girl!!

Over the last week I really decided to concentrate on writing about my training program and what I have learned. Just writing about the first four weeks was enough to make me realize I have learned so much more than I ever thought and I still have another 32 weeks to write about!

Today we received our official final weekly training tools, although John has stated he still has a few more weeks worth of information he wants to send us and it may turn into a 40 week program! I am really looking forward to continuing to write this series for you. I know it is a big task, but I really want to share what John teaches in his program.

However before I continue writing any more posts about my training, here are my daily tasks for this last week.

This Weeks Daily Tasks So Far: 29th Sep 09 – 5th Oct 09:

  1. The usual downloading of emails. (I still have to cull myself from a few mailing lists, I am receiving heaps and heaps of junk at the moment, plus I think the email has been sold again! I now have nearly 2,000 emails to go through! )
  2. Downloaded the rest of my monthly product quota from Resell Rights Fortune. (I still have no idea what I am going to do with the products! )
  3. Installed some plugins for my blog. (I installed “Post Teasers” and “Tweetmeme”. I will get around to writing about each plugin and why I installed them at a later stage. ;) )
  4. Signed up to “Feed Burner”. (I signed up to “Feed Burner” so it is easy for people to subscribe to my blog feeds if you want to. With Feed Burner you can sign up to receive normal RSS feeds or you can sign up through a reader program. Signing up to my RSS feeds especially through “Google Reader” gives you the chance to be notified every time I update my blog. I still haven’t set up the email system to notify of my blog changes so the RSS feed is an easier option at this stage. Steve from Planet Divinity made me a really cool graphic to match in with my blog. It is up the top right side bar under “Subscribe To Me”. I swear those guys do not take days off! I sent the email Saturday and received the graphic Sunday! Working weekends too! I really really love Planet Divinity!! Best Graphics ever!)
  5. I signed up to Google Friend Connect. (Like Mybloglog, Google Friend Connect is another way of communicating with the blogging community. In my blogging travels I have noticed a few people have “Google Friend Connect” installed so I thought I would sign up and see what happens.)
  6. Continued my blogging travels visiting fellow student and marketers blogs. (I am having an awesome time visiting other people’s websites. I am learning heaps and heaps of new stuff, but I am also meeting heaps of really cool people!!!!! )
  7. Took care of my computer. (I have set myself up now where once a week I do an intense system scan. I do a Virus check, System check, Scan disk and De-fragment, as well as a back up of all my data. Basically I set it all up and the computer does its own thing for a few hours. It is so important to maintain your computer’s hardware and software. It is a bit like taking care of your car! If you don’t take care of your car and give it a service it will stop driving, the same for a computer! )
  8. Downloaded Week 35 & 36 of John Thornhill’s Masterclass Training Program. (I am still up to watching Week 35 and I think activity wise I am still at around week 20 something. Just a little bit behind in my tasks  I have been having too much fun in the blogging world at the moment! :D )
  9. Posted 5 posts to my blog. (The last one on my daily tasks on the 29-9-2009 . Click here for that post. Daily Tasks. And the first 4 week summaries of my training program. Click here for Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 & Week 4. I have been a very busy blogger! )
  10. Created the “My Masterclass Journey” page. (This page will be dedicated to my masterclass training journey. As I write each summary I will be listing a post link in this page so if you want to have access to all the summaries in one area instead of traveling around my website posts you will be able to do so here. The page is still in development and will be updated every time I write a post about the training.)

OK. So I think that is a pretty big summary of what I have been doing over the last week. I am starting to feel tired and drained yet excited at the same time. I may need to take a few days off and recoup! :?

Speaking of which my little one is asleep as I write. It is the middle of the afternoon, I think I might go for a nap too! :D

So until next time……..

Remember To Rest Too!

  1. Hi Jacinta,

Now I am the one who has fallen off the John train (only for a while though

I am in the middle of marketing my husbands awesome new iPhone game, and believe me it’s very time consuming! I’m in the final throws of finishing my book (yeah!!) so I have “stopped” listening to John for a while altogether.

Thank you for giving me heads-up on what I am missing. Your posts are very informative and lots of fun

Looking forward to be in touch again soon.
    Many Thanks,
    Svenja

    Hi Svenja,

Thank you so much for popping by! :D

Cool on the iPhone game launch, that definitely would be taking up some time but will be well worth it in the end! :D Those iPhones are like mini computers.

Good luck with finishing your book. I know how long and time consuming that one can be. :( However you will be so proud of yourself when it launches. It is like giving birth to an internet business baby so to speak!

Re the JT coaching posts. I have so many to write it isn’t funny! as you know we are in week 36 and I have only written up to week 4. I am hoping to have them all written up in detail over the next couple of weeks.

Don’t worry about being behind in the course. I have a favourite saying “The tortoise always wins the race!” so just take one day at a time, it is the momentum that counts!

I will see you on your blog soon! :)

    Take Care

    Jacinta :D

  2. Hi Jacinta,

I don’t know if you’re already doing this? But you could start to sell some of your Resell Rights Fortune products on eBay.

I’m in a resell rights club too, and I’m planning to stick a few on ebay to help build my list.

I’m enjoying travelling around all the IM blogs too, and you’re right you do meet a lot of cool peeps on your travels. 8)

You’ve also just reminded me to do a virus scan, I do mine manually as it always seems to come on when I need the processing power and RAM.

Great post again, Jacinta. I always go away from your blog with new ideas, and good info.

    Take care,

    Paul.

.-= Paul Lear´s last blog ..How I Use MyBlogLog To Drive Targeted Traffic =-.

    Hi Paul,

I agree with the ebay suggestion. That has actually been my intention but there is only so much time in the day! :(

At the moment I figured I would just keep downloading my monthly quota of products and eventually get around to actually using them. The beauty about being a member of the RRF program is that I am no longer tempted to buy just any products now unless they are relevant to what I am studying and I know of the people I am buying from eg such as Dave and John etc.

I have been having a great time visiting everyone’s blogs, only problem is I have been getting lost for hours, but learning cool stuff so worth it.

Yep on the virus checker and scan disk etc. I have learnt the hard way to maintain my computer. I had 2 hard drive crashes in 6 months and lost a heap of stuff I can’t replace, especially the pics of my little one. :(

Good to see I am inspiring you! I have been visiting your blog heaps lately as I have been getting inspired by you!

Thank you for popping by. See you on your blog soon! :P

    Jacinta :D

  3. Hi Jacinta,

Thank you for your kind comments on my Blog. The Pregnancy Massage is one of the areas I find most rewarding. I have to say i really like the look and layout of your blog. I am sure you will have great success. I will try to visit more often to see how you are getting on. Kids are great I have a four year old Grand daughter, 2 two year old Grandsons and another Grandson due in 2 weeks.
    Kindest Regards

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

Thank you for popping by! And thank you for the kind words about my blog. I have been trying to pretty it up over the last couple of months.

I do wish I had of known about the massage when I was pregnant. It think it definitely would have eased my stress.

Congrats on the Grandchildren! :D It must be nice seeing your children have families of their own.

Speaking of which my little one has over slept and I need to go wake her up!

See you on your blog soon.

    Jacinta :D

  4. Hi Jacinta,

I have been told that Planet Divinity was good, I went to there site when I wanted something done but at the time it said they were not taking any orders at that time as they were taking a break.

Always good to have a second opinion and I will check them out in future.

    Thanks,

    James

P.S If you keep coming to my site I am going to have to get the smilies plugin for you  :-D

.-= James Howard´s last blog ..Commentluv WordPress Plugin Simple Traffic Trick =-.

    Hi James,

I love Planet Divinty! and yes the links on my page are affiliate links  Just complying with the new FTC guidelines :(

Truthfully Steve and Dave are awesome. I have always had my graphics done within 48 hours of order. Steve always answers my emails (He does the main graphic images side of things) and if I have ever had a problem or lost anything or want a design changed it hasn’t been a problem at all. They are reasonably priced and do really cool work. I do highly recommend and endorse them

Ha Ha  on smilie plugin! I like the smilies, they add heaps of character as you can express what you are trying to say a little more. I learnt how to do most of them via html before I discovered the plugin!

Yes I think you should add the plugin! So cool!

See you on your blog soon!

    Jacinta :D

  5. Hi Jacinta
Wow you really keep yourself busy, its very inspiring, I need to get my skates on and follow your lead.
    Bye for now
    Ann

.-= Ann O Leary´s last blog ..Can Obesity Be Contagious? =-.

    Hi Ann,

Thank you for popping by! :D I do try and get a heap done while my little one sleeps, although she has decided to miss sleeps this week so my next daily tasks post won’t be so full. ;)

There is only so much we can do, and there are so many tedious tasks I wish I didn’t have to do, however it is all about the learning process and starting to develop a viable online business. I think it is the momentum that counts even if we only get to do a half hour a day.

Hope all is great. See you on your blog soon! :)

    Jacinta

  6. Jacinta

Keep up the good work, you seem to be achieving lots with your daily tasks lists (even if it seems like downloading products isn’t immediately useful today) and are an inspiration for the rest of us who get distracted by e-mails and browsing.
Thanks for the timely reminder to do a PC housekeeping session!

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for popping by! No worries on the PC reminder. After loosing 2 hard drives in 6 months I have learnt the hard way! :(

I can relate to the emails and browsing. I think I have nearly 2,000 emails I still have to sort through. I think I need to cull myself from a few lists again! ;) Re the browsing I have been having a blast visiting everyone’s blogs and having a read. I have been getting lost for hours, and then when little one awakes I realise I didn’t get much done!

Keep up the learning! I will see you on your blog soon! :P

    Jacinta

  7. Hi Jacinta,

I can sense how inspired and motivated you are by your mentorship program with John and your online internet marketing business! It’s a great feeling isn’t it?

And I have known about John Thornhill for years and let me say this, he’s the expert with ebooks. So I am sure that if you are not sure what to do with your resell rights products now, that you may learn from him very quickly in the near future.

Maybe you can create a monthly membership site with them. I have a membership where I get ebooks for free each month and I really love it, and it’s about $19.99 a month. But it’s a great resource for me and very valuable. Maybe you can create that for yourself and residual income every month? Sound great to me :)

Thanks for visiting my blog so often and I plan on keeping up with visiting your blog and watching your success in your online journey!

    Take care Jacinta,
    Karen

    Hi Karen,

Thank you for popping by! :D

I have been thinking about setting up a subscriber site, a bit like a membership site but a free one where each week I give away a couple of ebooks etc. I want to link it to this site. I have done some research on some plugins and should be able to do it.

And then maybe once I have a good amount of subscribers I will do a paid mentoring membership program. I guess I am not ready to start a paying membership site yet as I really want to be in the position where I know I will be giving good content each and every month. I still need to learn how to create videos and a few other things as well. So I guess until then I just have thousands of products accumulating. At least I will have a fantastic source when I am ready! :D

No worries on visiting you regularly! :P I finally set up my Google reader so when ever anyone I like updates their blog I am notified straight away and I can pop over quickly, have a read and say hello. Plus I know that giving people traffic is encouraging for us all.

Hope everything is great. See you on your blog soon!

    Jacinta :D

  8. Hi Jacinta

Great blog you have done a great job no wonder you need a sleep. Time management is an important part in getting things done making the most of the time that you have.Anything that can help automate the job is a bonus.A lot of people think you have just to push a few buttons to create a online business and give up when things don’t happen straight away.If you put in the time and effort you will be rewarded great job. :)

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for popping by!

Boy can I relate to people thinking they can just push a few buttons!!! That is what annoys me so much about some of the so called Guru’s that tell us how to make a million in 7 days etc etc. They forget to tell us their business has been 4 years in the making to get to that point!

An online business is no different to an offline business! They both take time, money, focus, determination, planning etc. The positive about online to offline is that the costs aren’t as high. From my experience, depending on the niche, the time factor is the same!

Thank you for the kind words and for popping by. I will see you on your blog soon! :P

    Jacinta :D

  9. Hi Jacinta,

I came across your comments on other blogs a few times and today while reading a post on Paul Lear’s blog I saw your link there and I clicked on it.

I’m glad i did. I find your blog very interesting and this post about your weeks daily tasks shows a good picture of what you are up to.

I’ll visit again to learn more.

    Vance

.-= Vance Sova´s last blog ..Why Should Your Life Story Matter? Show Up To Harm Or Help ? =-.

    Hi Vance,

Nice to meet you! I have seen your comments on a few people’s blogs as well. This blogging community is definitely becoming a little family! Paul has been visiting for a few weeks now, I don’t know how he found me? Since then I have been visiting his blog and meeting everyone on Alex’s training program.

Thank you for the comment on my daily tasks. I started doing it in July as I felt it would be a great way to keep myself accountable to what I am trying to achieve online. Some weeks I do heaps and others I don’t, it really depends on my little one.

I get the feeling a few people like the concept and are doing it now in their own way. I am glad I have inspired! :D

Thank you for popping by! I will be popping by your blog very soon! :P

    Jacinta :D

  10. Hello from Russia!

Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?

    Hello Polprav from Russia,

Sure now worries on the quote, which one are you going to use?

Thank you for popping by!
