Stephen Pierce – 21 Basic Laws Of Internet Business Success!
Hello All,
I just thought I would write a very quick post and share a blog post I found in my blogging travels.
I have been following and watching many so called internet marketing guru’s, some are excellent and share a wealth of knowledge all year around and others only share when they are promoting their next big launch.
One internet marketer I do like is Stephen Pierce. I have been on his mailing list for about a year now and I have also read his book “Make Real Money On The Internet”. It has only been recently that I have started to visit his blog (you can check out Stephen Pierce’s blog by clicking here. Stephen Pierce) and today I found a really cool post I wanted to share and give you food for thought!
The post I am referring to is 21 Laws Of Business Success. (You can read Stephen’s full blog post by clicking here. 21 Laws.)
Stephen believes in order for us to be successful online we need to have some form of business code or laws we abide by. Such as our ethics, morals, integrity towards our clients and operating business.
Here are the laws that Stephen Pierce wrote for himself nearly 10 years ago.
21 Basic Laws Of Internet Business
- Law #1: Always target a niche market. (If you want to get rich target a niche, if you want to go broke, market to all the folks.)
- Law #2: Identifying a problem in that niche market is priority #1.
- Law #3: Creating a desired solution for that problem is priority #2.
- Law #4: Delivering that solution for a profit to your niche market is priority #3.
- Law #5: Gain confidence from your target market by giving true value.
- Law #6: Establish your authority through originality.
- Law #7: Innovation trumps imitation.
- Law #8: Give – then give some more.
- Law #9: Never greet a new subscriber with a message asking for money.
- Law #10: Don’t be deceitful, devious or dishonest as it only leads to disaster.
- Law #11: Be truthful to be received as trustworthy.
- Law #12: Boldness and brilliance will break your income records.
- Law #13: Be daring by using the freshness of your individuality.
- Law #14: It’s about the targeted traffic conversion, not the targeted traffic collecting.
- Law #15: Be authentic and different by substantiating your claims.
- Law #16: Don’t just say it, prove it.
- Law #17: Implementation is everything. If you don’t implement what you know, it’s like you never knew it all.
- Law #18: Knowing is not proven in what you say, it’s proven in what you do.
- Law #19: Without relationships, there are no exchanges of products or services for money.
- Law #20: All success, accomplishments and achievements are found on roads that travel through other people.
- Law #21: When you screw other people, you have screwed yourself.
Food for thought!
I really like the concept behind these laws and am going to make a copy to be placed beside my computer when I am studying.
Speaking of which, little one is resting and I better get back to it…..
I would really like to know what you think.
So until next time……..
Enjoy Your Learning!

Its all so simple – honesty and originality. Those are the two themes I see in his list of 21. I will go visit his blog to see what else he has to say. I think you can tell who’s honest and who’s not and who’s giving and who’s holding back. Once again, thanks for another nice find.

Hi Gwen,
No Worries on the find. I have started following a few really good internet marketers, checking out their blogs etc so I will be listing anything I find that is worth mentioning here. Plus I want to mix up the subjects. As much as I am enjoying writing about JT’s training I know that people will not want to read that every post! I still have another 30 of them to write!
I need to do a daily tasks next for the last 2 weeks!
Hope all is good. See you on your blog soon.
Jacinta
Hi Jacinta,
I’ve heard of Stephen Pierce a few times, and watched some of his videos. But I’ve never been to his blog until just now, so thanks for the introduction.
And those laws Stephen wrote out are some great points to stick to. I think I’m going to have to write those down for myself too.
Also I’ve just read your first post from back in October 2008. You’ve certainly come a long way since then… I love looking back and seeing how far people have come, so well done.
Paul.

Hi Ann,
No Worries on introducing you to Stephen Pierce. I have been on his mailing list for about a year now. He is like most of the top internet guru’s so to speak however I believe he is a little more straight up than the others!
Plus he does give away some good content at times.
Thanks for popping by! See you on your blog soon!

Useful post Jacinta. Can’t argue with any of the laws. I like Law #17 ‘Implementation’ – I think I’m guilty of not following this one.

Hi John,
Good to see you again!
I like the laws. I know they are fairly straight forward and common sense to most people, however we do still find the unscrupulous ones out there! The thing I like most about this industry is the transparency. If we don’t operate with honesty and integrity overall we will eventually come undone.
See you on your blog soon!

Jacinta
Hi Jacinta,
Thanks for visiting my blog, I thought it would provoke a reaction from the “Keywords” used. Hell you have to get noticed somehow eh!
I will look at Stephen Pierces site, it sounds good.
Keep up the good work.

Hi David,
Thank you for popping by! Good to see you!
I did have a giggle at your keyword emphasis, however yes you do need to use targeted keywords if you want to drive traffic for a specific reason!
Stephen Pierce’s Blog is full of content and videos you will enjoy it!

Hi Jacinta,
Nice post showing how things could be done.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all could abide by all the points you’ve listed?
Being honest is pretty obvious point and it’s hard to understand how people can even think they can get around this one in the long run.
I do have some problems with being original because I’m still just learning.
Taking action is also sometimes a sticking point for me because I want to know it all before I start taking action.
Thanks for sharing your finds with everybody.
Now I’ll go to visit the blog you’ve discovered for me and all your readers.

See you on your blog soon!
Jacinta
Hi Jacinta
Thanks for the list.
Having re-read them a couple of times I feel that so many of them can be applied to our personal live as well as to business.
Particularly 8, 10 and 21!
Thanks also for introducing Stephen Pierce – great guy.
John
Hi John,
Thank you for popping by!
I really like the laws. I do believe they are relevant to personal life as well. I guess the bottom line is that we treat people how we would like to be treated, both in business and in life.
No worries on the introduction. I will be introducing more people like Steve in the next few months.
See you on your blog soon.
Jacinta
