Will Smith’s Wisdom – How Do You Live Your Life?

Hello All,


Welcome to this weeks choice of ‘Motivational Video’.

Introducing ‘Will’s Wisdom’.

A collection of clips made by a guy on ‘YouTube’ called ‘The Mind Guy’.

I really like Will Smith as an actor and as a person. His dedication to his life and his family is absolutely amazing and inspiring.

One of my favourite movies of all time is ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’. That movie is an inspiration in itself!

Every time I watch this video clip of ‘Will’s Wisdom’, I am inspired to do better.

I am inspired to be a better example for my daughter and what’s more is that I am inspired to actually enjoy my life. To see the positive and to look for the positive instead of thinking about the negative.

I won’t ramble on anymore other than to tell you to enjoy and let me know what you think.

    This is truly inspirational. I love what he says about the wall..”You don’t start by saying you’re gonna build a great wall.. You start by laying down this first brick as perfectly as possible.. And soon you’ll have a wall”.

    And now his son is stepping in his footsteps becoming a great actor. Have you seen The Karate Kid?

    I like the wall part as well. It is so true in all aspects of our life, not just business, but personal too!

    I haven’t seen Karate Kid yet, it is a movie I do want to go and see soon. I have heard it is really good. I loved Jayden in “The Pursuit of Happiness”, his acting was incredible for such a young boy.

    The idea of the wall teaches work ethic, I have seen an interview recently that Will Smith did to do with Karate Kid. Apparently Jayden had hurt himself during a scene mildly. They showed Will giving a pep and motivational talk to him about commitment and responsibility and how sometimes when you don’t want to do something that there are times when you just have to do what you don’t want to do because other people are relying on you.

    It should him teaching strength of character. I am sure his son is going to be amazing as he grows.

  3. Well I agreed with everything in the video Jacinta, until near the end when Will said; “Be prepared to die for the truth”………… I don’t understand that?

    Mind you, one of my last posts was “Living to 100″, so that has something to do with it. :-)

    I think the comment ‘Be prepared to die for the truth’ is a way of saying to be prepared to die for what you believe in. To have the conviction to stand and fight so to speak.

    Good to hear you are liking the new series. I plan on keeping it going for as long as I find really cool videos to share.

    We can’t have all work and no play. This series is my way of playing, plus I think in this industry it is often hard to get motivation from outside sources offline.

    I am hoping the videos help inspire and encourage people not to give up on what they are doing and what they are trying to achieve.

    Had better get back to work and find some more inspirational videos!! :P

    What an inspirational video, I particularly love the analogy about the wright brothers bending metal around people and flying, and making an unrealistic point of view realistic!

    I enjoyed watching the inspirational video by Will. I’ve seen it several times already before but it is worth watching every now and then.

    It’s so easy to get distracted from what we want to achieve and watching videos like this one helps put us back on the right track.

    I agree re watching these types of videos can help us get back on the right track so to speak. I think it can be very easy to get lost in our every day lives and tasks and then forget what we were actually trying to achieve.

    I have gone into a little bit of a hermit mode over the last couple of weeks. There are some training tasks I have been putting off for a long time and I have finally started to focus on them.

    Will’s video reminded me of my bad habit on procrastinating on tasks I don’t want to do but need to do.

  8. I love love love Will Smith. He is one of my all time favorite actors. He seems like he would be an actor who you could walk up and introduce yourself and he would be this average really nice guy. I can’t imagine him being one of those demanding selfish actors.
